Nashville would respond at the beginning of the 2nd quarter with a 40 yard TD pass from Kolten Gajewski to Isaac Turner Isaac Turner 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR Nashville | 2022 State IL with 10:00 left in the 2nd to tie the game at 7 apiece. Wilmington would do what Wilmington football does, wind down the clock on their methodical drives all the way down to 16 seconds left in the half. This is when Ryder Meents gets into the endzone off a 1 yard run giving Wilmington the lead 14-7. From here, Wilmington did a good job controlling the rest of the game on both sides. They ended up scoring off a Jacob Friddle Jacob Friddle 6'1" | 180 lbs | RB Wilmington | 2022 State IL 34 yard TD run with 9:05 left in the 4th. Followed by a Allan Richards Allan Richards 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Wilmington | 2022 State IL 32 yard field goal with 3:05 left in the 4th giving Wilmington a big lead of 24-7.

#13 Jacob Friddle Jacob Friddle 6'1" | 180 lbs | RB Wilmington | 2022 State IL 6’2 185 22′ RB
Mr. Friddle has the vision to find running lanes between the tackles quickly and is patient as he waits for the running lanes to open up. He finishes plays by keeping his feet driving as he fights for extra yards. His low center of gravity allows him to break weak arm tackles and play through contact, which is actually how he ended up getting a touchdown on the day. A big back that’s a downhill runner.

#19 Colin James 5’7 153 23′ RB
Mr. James uses his lateral quickness to turn the corner on the opposing defense. Once he turns the corner, he’s able to weave in and out of defenders in open space gaining extra yards on the play. He’s more of a speed back that could possibly turn into a receiving back at the next level given he can hone his pass catching skills, even though he plays in a heavy run offense that rarely passes the ball.
#68 Nick Sandford 6’4 260 22′ DL
Mr. Sandford has good power to him which he uses to drive the offensive lineman back during his pass rush resulting in getting pressure on the opposing quarterback. Even with a club on his whole hand he was able to disrupt plays by working gap to gap to clog up running lanes and disengaging blocks to make the tackle.

#20 Allan Richards Allan Richards 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Wilmington | 2022 State IL 6’3 218 22′ LB/K Twitter
Mr. Richards works gap to gap and can trigger downhill in close space at the linebacker position. He spent a lot of the day dropping back into the hook/curl zone where he made a few breaks on the ball to get a hand in the passing lane resulting in a pass deflection. This young man is also one heck of a kicker that has good leg strength which he used attempt 30+ yard field goals in this game and pin the opposing team inside the 20.
@allanri53154517 22’ LB/K 6’3 218 has a boot to him. Finished with 12 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 PBU, & made a 32 yard FG for @WilmingtonFB in the 2A State Championship pic.twitter.com/xYNxagK1kG

Nashville
#4 Isaac Turner Isaac Turner 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR Nashville | 2022 State IL 6’3 175 22′ WR/DB Twitter
Mr. Turner is quick off the line of scrimmage, once he secures the catch he gets vertical quickly which happened to result in a touchdown on the day. He’s a deep threat downfield that can win his route over the top with his speed and leverage, so much so that he was being double covered as well as bracketed for most of the game. This didn’t do much as he was still able to attack the ball at the highest point to come down with the contested catch, if he didn’t he would draw the defensive pass interference penalties.
#6 Kolten Gajewski 6’6 210 22′ QB Twitter
Mr. Gajewski is mobile and runs QB design runs between the tackles. What’s most interesting about this young man is his poise in the pocket and the way he works in platform. As the pocket is collapsing he doesn’t freak out and go down, rather he navigates the pocket well and finds his man downfield as there’s pressure coming from all sides. When making throws, he puts a soft touch on the ball when making level 2 throws for his receivers to have an easier time securing it as the weather condition wasn’t the best.

#15 Connor Gladson 5’11 205 22′ RB
Mr. Gladson has the vision to find the running lanes quickly between the tackles. Upon securing the handoff and hitting the running lane, he keeps his feet driving to fight for extra yards on the play while playing through the whistle. He showcases glimpses of the potential that he has for the next level of being a three-down back, even though he went up against a dominant Wilmington defense that limited Nashville’s offense heavily.
