Roosevelt Norfleet III – Northrop – QB – 6’0″ 190 lbs
When he needed the game of his life he stepped up. Northrop got blown out the last time they faced Snider and this week was a different story. Norfleet came out confident and slinging the rock. He took Northrop right down the field to start the game and came away with a score. Norfleet also kept the defense honest with his legs. He put up just under 250-yards and 2 TDs on the night.
Tyrese Brown – Snider – RB – 5’11” 205 lbs
Brown decided that anytime Northrop scored, Snider would answer. Northrop scored and Brown took Snider right down the field on the ensuing drive. He busted a 50-yard TD run on the second play to tie it up. He stayed hot all night as he continued running over guys all night. He finished the night with just under 150-yards and 2 TDs on the night.
Bohde Dickerson – Dwenger – QB – 6’4″ 190 lbs
Dickerson was fantastic on the night and he really took advantage of his legs and extended a bunch of plays. He had 1 play where it looked like he was sacked for a safety but somehow got the ball to his guy 15-yards down the field. He stayed calm in the pocket all night even when Northside tried bringing pressure. He made his progressions and delivered the ball on time. Dwenger escaped with a victory and will move on next week.
Rodney Woods – Northside – WR – 6’2″ 187 lbs
Woods played the game of his life on Friday. He had a TD catch in the corner of the endzone that would have made Randy Moss proud. He went up and plucked it out of the air right over the defender. Northside’s passing game was on point on Friday and Woods was feasting. He lined up in the slot and out wide all night. They moved him around which stressed Dwenger’s defense. He put up over 100-yards and a TD on the night.
Mason Sheron – Leo – RB – 6’0″ 205 lbs
Death, taxes, and Mason Sheron balling out. Sheron is a walking highlight reel and anytime he touches the ball for Leo, the opposing defenses hold their breath. Sheron was all over DeKalb on Friday and he made it look easy. He busted a TD run early which deflated DeKalb. Sheron put up well over 150-yards on the night and a handful of TDs (3) as Leo blew past DeKalb.
