Championship Report: Pierce v Lakeview Standouts

Pierce v Lakeview was the first game on the final day. It was an early start but the players were bringing the energy from the opening kickoff. Here are the early standouts: &nbsp; Michael Kruntorad | Pierce | OLB/FB | 5’10  185lbs | Class of 2022 Michael is a physical runner who runs angry and barrels through tacklers. He had 11 carries for 78 yards and a touchdown. He also proved to be a capable receiver with a 72 yard touchdown catch down the seam of the defense. He ended his day with 3 catches for 105 yards and that touchdown. Michael also wrestles for Pierce and is currently uncommitted. <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2GVQx8">http://www.hudl.com/v/2GVQx8</a> &nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id="233710" first="Matt" last="Christensen"] | Pierce | RB | 5’10  190lbs | Class of 2022 Matt and Michael were nice compliments to each other this past Saturday. Matt is a shifty runner with some speed but can come out of the backfield and catch the ball very well. Matt had 18 carries for 76 yards and 2 catches for 71 yards, including touchdowns from 25 and 36 yards out. Matt rushed for over 1,000 yards this season and 16 touchdowns. He was 14/21 for 263 yards passing, 33 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns. He also forced then recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass on defense. He has speed in his legs and a swagger about him that is contagious. He threw for over 2,000 yards this year and rushed for about 500 yards. I though Pierce would use this often but did not exploit it quite like they should have, as when they threw him the ball down field he generally made the play. He has good speed and great length to go up and get balls. They played we as a team and caused turnovers which was the difference in the game. Adam had 14 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown and threw for another touchdown. He also had an interception on defense. Adam is speedy. He hits holes quick and has great hands in the offensive or defensive backfields.
