Laurel Highlands Rodney Gallagher Rodney Gallagher 6'0" | 160 lbs | ATH Laurel Highlands | 2023 State PA
Gallagher made WPIAL and school history Friday night. After his stellar performance in the run game, carrying the ball 9 times for 165 yards and 4 touchdowns, he became the 12th player in WPIAL history to rush for 1,000 yards and throw for 1,000 yards in a regular season. He also set the school single-season scoring record, with 33 touchdowns.
Cedar Cliff 2022 RB Jontae Morris
Senior running back Morris had his 3rd best game of the season. He had 18 carries for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also added an INT return for a touchdown. Morris’ best game of the season came when he ran the ball for 331 yards on 39 carries for 3 touchdowns. He was 3 yards shy on Friday’s performance to make it his second-best. Morris ended the season with 219 carries for 1,711 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Maryland Offers a Couple of Players
Freshman QB Stone Saunders Stone Saunders 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Bishop McDevitt | 2025 State PA received his second Power 5 offer. Michigan was his first offer, even before the season started. We did not know what to expect from him, but he has fully emerged as our number 1 player in the 2025 class and looking to be one of the top QB’s in the nation.
After a great talk with @CoachLocks. I am blessed and excited to say I have received a offer from the University of Maryland 🐢. Thanks @CoachWeachter @CoachM_Miller @CoachDanEnos #TBIA 🔴🟡 pic.twitter.com/JT7oLS8c25

2023 Wide Receiver from Neumann & Goretti Yazeed Haynes was the other player who was offered by Maryland over the weekend. Haynes is not ranked but will be on the next rankings. Haynes has the size. He’s got good speed with good ball skills. Haynes also received a couple of other Power 5 offers over the summer with West Virginia and Boston College.
After a Great conversation with @UMDCoachBrooks I am proud to say that I’ve received an offer from University of Maryland. #GoTerps 🐢 @EdOBrienCFB @RivalsFriedman @averagecanteat @HEADSAINT @NGsaintsFB @TerpsFootball pic.twitter.com/kSbnYL08Og

University Prep DB Rashan Murray Rashan Murray 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH University Prep | 2022 State PA De-Commits
Murray is our 94th overall ranked player in the 2022. He de-committed from Akron Friday October 29th. He received an offer from Akron after a workout in the summer, then a few days later he committed. It is interesting to see him de-commit as Akron was his only FBS offer. Murray has other offers, but they are all at the D2 level. I’m curious where he where ends up now because I do believe he is an FCS/D2 player.
I will be De-Committing from The University of Akron and my recruitment is now 100% back open!! @RivalsFriedman @BrianDohn247 @210ths @Evolve2tenths @coachcsanders @ARCHIECOLLINS_ @Coach_Hewitt86 @CoachCandle @CoachJohnHauser @CoachTerryPSU pic.twitter.com/aC6lqApHFf
