Last week, we continued to see players step up, and prove to be huge assets for their teams. Below, we listed some of our MVP’s from past Friday, who we think separated themselves more than others. Take a look at them if you get the chance!
Chase Jameson (LB)- Lanier
In last Friday’s game, Jameson stepped up for Lanier as he usually does, but this time, he did so with 2 interceptions. Because the game was very close, and saw a final score of 28-14, we quite easily see him as a major MVP for his team. As the season progresses, we fully expect him to continue to step up for his team, and add on to his 32 tackles.
Carter Mullis (DB)- Jeff Davis
Out of this entire list, Mullis may have had one of the most impressive, and well rounded performances last Friday. In his team’s win, he had 1 sack, and 7 tackles. In addition to this, he had 2 pass break ups, and an interception, proving to be a defensive force for his team. These impressive numbers have undoubtedly added to his stat count this year, and we would not be shocked if he had another game this season in which he showed out for his team.
Jalewis Solomon (WR)- Schley County
Solomon was more than impressive last Friday, as he totaled over 115 yards on only 6 receptions. Even more impressively, he also did so while scoring 4 TD’s, accounting for 24 of his team’s 54 points. In total, this added to his season total of 12 TD’s, and 582 yards. With this being said, if he can continue on this track, he will certainly finish up the season on a good note statistically.
[player_tooltip player_id="33930" first="David" last="Dallas"] (QB)- Trinity Christian
Out of all of the players who have shown out for Trinity Christian lately, it is nice to see Dallas get the appreciation that he deserves after a strong showcase last Friday. Last week, he not only went 22 for 27 in the air, but he threw for 421 yards and 5 TD’s. Needless to say, he was a big reason for the team’s success, as they defeated Whitefield Academy 63-14.
CJ Jones (RB)- Oconee County
Against Hart County, CJ Jones proved to be one of the top MVP’s of the week, as he toted the rock 31 times, for 183 yards. Within these carries, Jones also had 4 TD’s contributing largely to his team’s 35-13 win. As a bigger picture, these stats have helped Jones largely add to his season total of 773 yards, and an average of 110 yards a game.
Justin Thomas (WR)- Benedictine
Against Washington County this past Friday, Justin Thomas was an instrumental part of his team’s win, as he accounted for a large portion of the points in their 37-24 win. In this game, Thomas had 6 receptions, for 3 TD’s, while also having totaled 119 yards receiving.
[player_tooltip player_id="137477" first="Prentiss" last="Noland"] (QB)- Langston Hughes
As many PRZ readers may be aware, we have been tracking Noland’s progress since last season, and have had high expectations for him going into this season. This past Friday, he proved us right for thinking so as he threw for 248 yards, and 3 TD’s in the air as the Panthers had a huge win over North Atlanta High School. After 7 games, Noland has passed for 15 TD’s, and only 3 interceptions.
Cayman Spaulding (DB)- Miller Grove
In their game against Stephenson, Spaulding proved to be a huge asset. In this game alone, he had 13 tackles, and 2 interceptions. Even more impressive, one of these interceptions happened to be returned for a TD.
