Prep Redzone looks at several Class of 2022 Virginia high school football quarterbacks whose stock has risen so far this season. All of these stats are valid through Oct. 1, 2021.

[player_tooltip player_id="173759" first="Chase" last="Harsh"] | 6-1 | 195 | Portsmouth Christian
State ranking: No. 120, Position ranking: No. 15
Harsh has completed 32-of-48 passes for 706 yars and 13 touchdowns.
[player_tooltip player_id="212686" first="Damien" last="Mazil"] | 6-2 | 192 | Atlantic Shores
Mazil has completed 46-of-73 passes for 744 yards and 15 touchdowns.
[player_tooltip player_id="126724" first="Ethan" last="Vasko"]
State ranking: No. 5, Positon ranking: No. 1
Vasko has completed 39-of-69 passes for 706 yards and seven touchdowns and one interception. He’s an ODU commit and certainly not overrated. However, I had to show some love to the best quarterback in the state. Vasko’s last game against Indian River showed how mobile he was as he ran for yardage and extended plays with his legs. He was very accurate on his short-to-medium passes including a beautiful fade pass down the right sideline that he threw on a line for a touchown.
[player_tooltip player_id="212687" first="Landon" last="Spell"] | 6-1 | 180 | Ocean Lakes
Spell has completed 34-of-54 passes for 490 yards and six touchdowns. His first-four game highlights feature him making all type of passes. Spell showcases his accuarcy on fade routes, seam routes, digs, and posts. He doesn’t hold on to the ball for long after its snap and gets rid of it quickly.
[player_tooltip player_id="126729" first="Mark" last="Wagner II"] | 6-2 | 185 | Phoebus
State ranking: No. 86, Position ranking: No. 8.
Wagner has completed 41-of-77 passes for 771 yards, 13 touchowns, and one interception. I currently do not have his rushing stats but it’s worth noting that he can make plays with his legs. Wagner’s first play from his three-game highlight reel features him running for a 60-plus yard touchdown on a designed running play. He throws a beautiful fade ball, showing nice touch in the red zone. Wagner does a good job of working the middle of the field in the passing game. He plays in a spread-offense and it looks like he’s able to exploit the weakness in the middle of the defenses that he goes up against.
[player_tooltip player_id="126730" first="Marvin" last="McCue"] | 6-0 | 170 | Kecoughtan]
State ranking: No. 90, Position ranking: Kecoughtan
McCue has completed 28-of-48 passes for 589 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. He may not have a lot of touchdown passes but he does put zip on his passes and is able to locate the open man quickly after the football his snapped.
[player_tooltip player_id="212688" first="Saquan" last="Miles"] | 6-0 | 200 | Salem
Miles has completed 30-of-44 passes for 554 yards and nine touchdowns.
[player_tooltip player_id="212689" first="Shayden" last="DeLoach"] | 5-10 | 170 | Norview
DeLoach has completed 32-of-74 passes for 508 yards and four touchdowns. He is more athlete than quarterback, but DeLoach has done a good job so far this season.
[player_tooltip player_id="212690" first="Xavier" last="Davis"] | 6-1 | 192 | Green Run
Davis has completed 68-of-91 passes for 1,174 yards, 17 touchdowns and zero interceptions. I saw a stat on Twitter (thanks to @QPayton) that stated [player_tooltip player_id="212690" first="Xavier" last="Davis"] has accounted for 47 total touchdowns over the past ten games. Makes sense. Davis is an electric dual-threat quarterback that should definitely see himself in Prep Redzone ratings in the very near future.
