2022 Lawrenceburg QB Garrett Yoon Garrett Yoon 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Lawrenceburg | 2022 State IN (6’ and 180lbs) @GarrettYoon2
Great patience in the pocket allows Yoon to hang in there and give his receivers time to get open. He has a very good internal clock that he know when to get the ball out of his hands. Yoon’s pocket movements are impressive, he moves enough to create space the get throws off. Hi arm strength is average but he makes up for it with great accuracy. He didn’t run as much this past week but Yoon is more than capable of churning out yards on the ground. Currently, he is uncommitted but getting interest from multiple D1 schools.
2022 Castle DE Kris Butler (6’4” and 225lbs) @kris_butler_18
Extremely athletic for his size, Butler has long arms and runs very well. He’s got a frame that will add on more weight as he gets older, and shouldn’t loose any speed. Butler has very good instincts and is not afraid to get physical. He does well getting his hands up to bat passes down. Butler needs to work on some of his pass rush moves but there’s a lot to like about a player who has his type of frame and athletic ability. He talking with Ball State and Marian but has upside enough to garner offers from plenty of other schools.
2024 Plainfield LB Landon Drennan Landon Drennan 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Plainfield | 2024 State IN (6’2” and 185lbs) @DrennanLandon
Already one of the best players in the state in his class, Drennan has added a bit more versatility to his game since last year. He’s attacking the line more, utilizing his playmaking ability to rush the passes. Drennan has great speed, chasing down running from the backside of plays. He does really well fighting off blocks and keeping his feet moving, to not get taken out of plays. Drennan has improved from his freshman season, and the potential is sky high. I would like to see him really get in the weight room this offseason to add on around 10-15 pounds, which should come as he grows. Drennan has shown a lot of upside early in his career.
2024 Lawrenceburg ATH Brayden Combs @BraydenCombs01
The Tiger have been humming recently, which has given them a chance to get some younger players some run, Combs being one of them. He’s shown some solid versatility in his game, playing corner, wide receiver and having an impact in the return game. I do need to see more out of his game, but the little glimpses have put him on my radar for the next few seasons.
2025 Plainfield OL Tommy Spilker (6’2” and 265lbs) @TommySpilker
A solid athlete with a nasty streak, Spilker does a great job of keeping a wide base when engaging with defensive linemen. He’s got very good footwork when pulling, driving his opponents well off the play to open up holes. Spilker is strong for his age and the bodes well for his future. As a freshman lineman getting varsity playing time, it’s impressive. Spilker has a lot of upside and could develop into a very solid interior offensive lineman as he continues his high school career.
2024 Lawrenceburg RB Teagan Bennett (5’9” and 170lbs) @teaganbennett_
On the smaller side now, Bennett is not afraid to get physical as a runner or a blocker. Right now he’s a one-cut and get north runner, the straight line speed is pretty good. There’s not much to work off his tape, but Bennett most likely will have a larger role in the next few seasons and is one to keep tabs on.
2023 Carmel WR Reece Bellin (6’1” and 190lbs) @BellinReece
A game breaking receiver, Bellin does a great job of finding space and then turning upfield to gain extra yardage. He’s got very strong hands, making plays around his impressive catch radius. Bellin is a solid route runner as well, especially his 10-yard work, breaking down quickly and getting ready to catch a quick strike. He’s got some very good athletic ability also while being a solid blocker. A good frame gives Bellin plenty of upside and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him have a very big senior year.
2022 Lawrenceburg WR Dahya Patel Dahya Patel 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Lawrenceburg | 2022 State IN (6’2” and 185lbs) @Dahya_Patel88
I saw Patel during the summer and he was one of my standout receivers at the Rise and Fire camp. It didn’t surprise me to watch his tape and see that he has played a very solid senior campaign. Although he plays on both sides of the ball, Patel is better suited as a wide receiver who does a bit of everything. A good blocker, also some athletic ability Patel has a frame that could see him add weight as he gets old and turn into a tight end. He’s a big time receiver right now, but can blow as well. Patel has an offer from Valparaiso but should be seeing much more interest.
2025 Avon ATH Michael Walker (5’10” and 160lbs) @MW194k
I didn’t expect to see highlights of Walker as a linebacker due to his size, but there he was, chasing down plays and not looking out of place. Right now, he’s very raw at the position, but it’s clear theirs is a lot of athletic ability to his game. Walker is very quick moving side to side and has the speed to stay in wide receivers hips. If he doesn’t grow, there’s potential to move back into the secondary. Walker a solid tackler, who has a lot of very good football ahead of him.
2023 Terre Haute North ATH Jaden Wayt (6’3” and 175lbs) @JadenWayt
After watching his film, I’m not sure what positions Wayt ends up playing at the next level, at this point I’m leaning towards WR, but he could add on a ton of weight and become an OLB. It’s a good problem to have, and as his body matures his position will sort itself out. I really like the hands that Wayt possesses, along with the ability to elevate and high point the ball. Wayt constantly out jumps the opponent and makes highlight real plays. On defense the athletic ability shows as well, great makeup speed and a solid tackler. I was very impressed with his film and getting D1 interest from Ball State and Miami (OH) is just the beginning.
