Top Players: Leander vs Cedar Park

Cedar Park earned a dominant win over longtime rival Leander on Friday with a 37-14 victory. The Timberwolves had an offense that could not be stopped and a defense that prevented any chance of Leander coming back. These are the top players from that game.
1. <strong>Kevin Adams II (SR-RB) - Cedar Park High School (Cedar Park, TX)</strong>
Stats: 147 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown
Although the entirety of the Cedar Park offense was dominant the running game for the Timberwolves was the main driving force and that includes Adams, who was very tough to tackle throughout the whole game and made lots of Leander defenders miss.
2. <strong>Tyree Nicholson (JR-RB) - Cedar Park High School (Cedar Park, TX)</strong>
Stats: 72 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns
Along with Adams was Nicholson, who was very effective in the redzone especially but could turn on the jets as well. He showed off tremendous speed and was tough to take down, able to shed a couple of tackles almost every play.
3. <strong>Cody Marshall (SR-WR) - Cedar Park High School (Cedar Park, TX)</strong>
Stats: 5 receptions, 63 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 1 rushing touchdown
The key receiver of the game, Marshall caught a lot of tough catches in traffic. Leander did not stutter on coverage much in the game and often made Marshall work, and he still put up the numbers he did which just showcases his ability to play against tough coverage.
4. <strong>Alexander Franklin III (SR-RB) - Leander High School (Leander, TX)</strong>
Stats: 161 rushing yards
Although Leander faced a tough loss, one bright spot was Franklin's playmaking ability. With Leander primarily running the ball, Franklin got a lot of reps and he did not squander those opportunities. He once again showed he is a tough running back who is hard to take down and can give the necessary yards for the offense.
