Stock Risers: 2023 Pass Catchers
This group of wideouts is off to a hot start and have already put up some impressive stat lines midway through the regular season. Look for them to have a strong finish to their 2021 campaigns and be names you’ll know on the recruiting trail. Here are our top passing catching 2023 stock risers.
Maddox Allbritton, 5’10″, 165, Timber Creek
A smooth deep ball tracker with plenty of build-up speed. Maddox is strong at the top of his route and can create separation against physical defensive backs that are rolled up in the slot. Despite being only 5’10″, this young man has outstanding vertical leaping ability and can go up & get the football at its highest point. He can work all three parts of the field and is a true natural hands catcher.
Jonathan Nelson, 5’10″, 165, Bridgeland
An electric prospect with the ball in his hands and can make defenders miss in a phone booth. Nelson is a precise route runner who uses his god-given speed to dominate on double moves. He shows outstanding vision and can hit a crease in an instant. He can line up pretty much anywhere on offense and create chunk plays in both the pass & run game.
Devin Matthews, 5’8″, 160, Seguin
When you turn on the tape, the first thing you’ll notice is the sheer shake. Matthews is so hard to bring down in the open field and is equipped with filthy cutting ability. He’s deadly on short passing concepts and can turn a three-yard route into a thirty-yard gain. The speed to outrun angles is there, making him a tough matchup for linebackers guarding him out of the slot.
Amarion Henry, 6’, 185, Keller
A complete wide receiver prospect that understands the importance of eating up a defensive back’s leverage. He’s a tough man to guard on the go ball and can run right under his quarterback’s throw. All Henry has done this season is get open, whether it was as at z, x, or f receiver out of the slot. His overall contact balance and ability to stay upright after taking a hit was quite impressive on tape.

Mr. Williams shows great acceleration and sticky hands in traffic. He’s more than capable of defeating press coverage and stacks defenders immediately after. He’s a serious redzone weapon who can make you pay on corner routes. He’s got a hidden second gear and can get vertical quickly after the reception.
