Tyson Bordeaux, Long Beach Poly, 2022
When I first saw Long Beach Poly at a passing tournament over the summer, I was concerned that they did not have any quality receiving prospects. Coach Stephen Barbee told me about Bordeaux and after watching him play, I felt better about the Jackrabbits. He only caught two passes in a blowout win over Wilson but had 109 yards and a touchdown. He is 6-foot-5 and can create separation which makes him an intriguing college prospect.

Raymond Casillas, Santa Ana, 2022
Casillas transferred to Santa Ana from Orange which was a big deal in Orange County because the two teams play in the same league and are far and away the best teams in said league. Casillas is fast, can return kicks and has a chip on his shoulder from being under-recruited and slept on. He caught seven passes for 102 yards in a rout of Calvary Chapel. Casillas is a big playmaker and I am excited to see him face his old team in the season finale for the league championship.

Jacob Jimenez, El Rancho, 2023
El Rancho has broken out as one of the top programs in the San Gabriel Valley. They have a very well-balanced offense that is difficult to defend. The passing game shined in its win against Cal High and Jimenez was the top target. The junior caught seven passes for 178 yards and four touchdowns. It was the first time he had eclipsed the 100 yard mark and we will see if that makes him a bigger part of the offense going forward.

[player_tooltip player_id="25227" first="Tetairoa" last="McMillan"], Servite, 2022
McMillan could be highlighted on this list every week. He is the best receiver in the state in my opinion and is virtually unguardable. The Oregon commit caught 9 passes for a season-high 219 yards and four touchdowns against a very athletic Orange Lutheran team. If you try to cover him in man, he is going to beat you. If you try to bracket him, he can out-physical your defenders and make a play. He is one of the reasons that Servite has a chance to upset Mater Dei or St. John Bosco.
