<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Slocomb Redtops defeated the Wicksburg Panthers in week 9, 14-7, to claim the 3A Region 2 title. Slocomb will host a playoff game in two weeks but faces Geneva County next Thursday in the team’s final regular season game.</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Here are the Redtops’ top players from the big win in week 9.</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126057" first="Jaylen" last="Nobles"]</strong> | 6-1 RB, OLB</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Nobles played at quarterback against Wicksburg due to an injury to Slocomb’s starter. Nobles attempted a few passes that were incomplete but the ground game is where Nobles shined best. He followed his blockers and ran for over 150 yards. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="127798" first="Rashawn" last="Miller"]</strong> | 5-11 RB, LB</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Miller is a solid tailback that can get big yards after the handoff. He played solid at linebacker and made crucial tackles all over the field. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2"><strong>Asael Morin</strong> | 5-9 LB</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Morin looked impressive at linebacker and made key tackles to help save the game for the Redtops. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2"><strong>Braylon Miller</strong> | 5-10 LB</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Miller was present on every play and make key tackles in the game. He is great in pass protection and got to the ball carrier on nearly every play. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2"><strong>Junior Eason</strong> | LB</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Eason made a few big tackles in the game and was crucial in helping to contain Wicksburg’s potent offense. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2"><strong>Michael Ward</strong> | 5-10 RB, LB</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Ward stepped up and had a big game for the Redtops. He made tackles all over the field and showed elusive running ability when he was handed the ball on offense. </span></p>
