Overview:
This Class B matchup featured two physical defenses that love to hit and offenses that can control the clock with balanced attacks. [player_tooltip player_id="147835" first="Sam" last="Hartman"], GI Northwest's QB, is one of the top gunslingers in the state and has continued to look dominant in his senior year. Weapons like Jensen, Harring, Richardson, and Douglass certainly make Hartman's job a little easier to do. However, pass-rush demon [player_tooltip player_id="147852" first="Chance" last="Symons"] was looking to hold Harman & Co. at bay. A defensive front featuring Symons (Chance & Cord), [player_tooltip player_id='227079' first='Jayce' last='Wilkinson'], [player_tooltip player_id="157650" first="Trevor" last="Schwartz"], [player_tooltip player_id='227081' first='Josiah' last='Mobley'], etc. looked to shut them down. Offensively, Scottsbluff boasted a junior dual-threat QB [player_tooltip player_id='227066' first='Braeden' last='Stull'], who was gashing the defense at will, and 2024 RB [player_tooltip player_id='245849' first='Sebastien' last='Boyle'] who was the workhorse back. This was one of the more exciting games I've had the privilege to watch this season. The two teams battled all night exchanging touchdowns, delivering bone-crushing tackles and showed lots and lots of guts. Two touchdown receptions from Harring, a rushing touchdown by Hartman (where he lowered the shoulder on a defender and laid him out), and clutch receptions from their playmakers helped the Vikings keep pace with Scottsbluff. In the end, the rushing attack of Boyle and Stull was too much for the Northwest defense to contain (especially with [player_tooltip player_id="163117" first="Aidan" last="Davies"] sidelined due to injury) and fell behind Boyle's 3 touchdown effort.
Final: Scottsbluff 43 - GINW 36

MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='245849' first='Sebastien' last='Boyle'] (Class of 2024 - Scottsbluff)

RB | Hudl

6'0" 195 lbs

He carried the ball 23 times for 169 yards and scored 3 touchdowns.

I'll start by saying that Boyle is going to be a monster for Scottsbluff in the next couple of years. He is so good as a sophomore, I can't wait to see his development.

He's is a bruiser at RB and picks up tough yardage. He's very hard to bring down on first contact and he keeps his legs pumping.

Great burst through his lanes and acceleration to take the run all the way home.

Understands zones and has the vision to find the open lane.

[player_tooltip player_id="147835" first="Sam" last="Hartman"] (Class of 2022 - GI Northwest)

QB/DB - Hudl

6' 190 lbs

I left the game EXTREMELY impressed with [player_tooltip player_id="147835" first="Sam" last="Hartman"] and how good he played. He was pushing the ball through the air and moving it on the ground, making some crucial tackles, taking big hits and getting back up, being a vocal leader when trailing-- awesome game from Hartman.

A super tough player with high intensity and great leadership skills.

Great Safety, he can provide security over top and he is instinctive in run support.

As a QB, does a great job going through his progressions. Makes good decisions, occasionally has a "hero ball" mishap but overall does an excellent job making snap decisions to get the chains moving.

[player_tooltip player_id='227066' first='Braeden' last='Stull'] (Class of 2023 - Scottsbluff)

QB/S | Hudl

6'3"

Stull is establishing himself as a true Dual-Threat QB. He passed for 150 and rushed for 100 with 3 rushing touchdowns.

He was an accurate 6 for 9 passing and made good decisions when determining whether to keep it or pass it. Didn't throw any interceptions and kept the offense on schedule with his smart play.

He's very elusive as a runner and has sneaky speed that can burn you if you aren't able to contain him.

Stull also had the game-clinching interception as time ran out. His get-off speed is so quick and has a lightning first step. He is a player that continues to progress.

Great tackling mechanics and is a safe bet against backs in the backfield, not really getting shook.

He can be played in a variety of techniques and formations. He was eating in the wide technique against their tackle.

Very underrated on the OL. Symons has a powerful punch and drives his feet. very well.
