Scouting Report: Edmond Santa Fe

They hung tough for the first half, but slowed down in the second half. Some familiar names were among the standouts, while a couple more hungry Wolves also made plays on the night. [player_tooltip player_id="38667" first="Talyn" last="Shettron"] - 2022 WR The All American receiver made his biggest mark in the second quarter. He showed why his combination of speed and power makes him a big time threat after catch. It was rare that he went down on first contact as he consistently broke tackles. And even if the defender was able to hang on, he often was able to drag them for more yards. There was a couple close contested catches he could’ve done better job hauling on, but it’s hard to nitpick such a talented athlete. [player_tooltip player_id="101405" first="Tabry" last="Shettron"] - 2022 TE Similar to his brother, the future OSU Cowboy is a big body physical threat. In the first half he proved to be reliable threat over the middle of the field. He broke open for a shorter touchdown on a crossing route. He also had a key first down reception when he found an open spot on the field and caught a tough pass in the second quarter. [player_tooltip player_id="61242" first="Chris" last="Fitzpatrick"] - 2023 LB The junior linebacker was the Wolves’ top playmaker on defense and racked up tackles all night long. He showed sideline to sideline speed when pursing the fast Jenks backs on outside runs. He was also able to step up and fill run fits on runs up the middle. A standout play by Fitzpatrick was when correctly diagnosed a RB screen and blew it up at the catch point. As he once again was willing to fight for the tough yards on interior runs against a tough defensive line. But he’s more than just a gutsy player. It was often on outside runs that he was able to find daylight. And when he did he was smart with his elusive cuts to set up defenders and maximize the yard he could gain.  Robinson showed good coordination on a contested catch in the flat.
