Take a look at the recent recruiting news from Arizona (more to follow coming soon): [player_tooltip player_id="42815" first="Brayten" last="Silbor"], QB, Chaparral ’22 (Decommitted from New Mexico) Silbor decommitted from New Mexico this week, meaning a big time pro-style 6A gunslinger is now up for grabs. The 6’3" 205lb reigning state champion has thrown for 2,418 yards and 22 TD’s through 8 games thus far. Silbor has done a tremendous job for that Chap offense this season, and has put together some solid film. One of the most pure pocket passers in the state has made a strong case in 2021 to see some big offers come in, so don’t be surprised to see things heat up for him soon. [player_tooltip player_id="165882" first="A’Mauri" last="Washington"], DL, Chandler ’23 Washington has established himself as a big name here in AZ and a big time P5 prospect. He’s recently pulled in offers from Tennessee, Texas A&M, Utah, Arizona State, Oregon, Syracuse, Michigan, Florida State, Iowa State, and Wisconsin. [player_tooltip player_id="110078" first="Jackson" last="Bowers"], TE, Mesa Mountain View, ’23 Bowers recruitment has not slowed down a bit, as he recently pulled in offers from Missouri, Florida State, and USC to bring his total up to 15 offers. [player_tooltip player_id="42926" first="Matthew" last="Klopfenstein"], TE, Horizon ’23 Another TE having a promising season, Klopfenstein picked up an offer from West Virginia, as well as a San Diego State offer back in late September. [player_tooltip player_id="42943" first="Elijah" last="Paige"], OL, Pinnacle ’23 It is possible that we may see a potential AZ-West Virginia pipeline starting here in Arizona, as [player_tooltip player_id="42943" first="Elijah" last="Paige"] also picks up a West Virginia offer. With Hamilton QB [player_tooltip player_id="42783" first="Nicco" last="Marchiol"] committed to West Virginia, we’ve now seen West Virginia around the state and taking notice of numerous prospects. Definitely a great element to add to Arizona high school football. [player_tooltip player_id="42790" first="Tristan" last="Monday"], LB, Saguaro ’22 Monday received an offer from Wisconsin, which could shake things up for Monday given he’s a current Arizona commit. Possibly the leading DPOY candidate now holds 8 offers thus far, and is going to be one of the most interesting 2022’s to watch to see how it all unfolds in the upcoming month or so. Bear Tenney, TE, Casteel ’25 The freshman has ignited his recruitment, and it is starting to take off here early as Tenney could potentially be the highest recruited 2025 in Arizona when it’s all said and done. The 6’5" 215lb standout picked up his first offer from Arizona State, then quickly followed up with an offer from Oregon State. [player_tooltip player_id="42847" first="Amier" last="Boyd"], ATH, Mountain Pointe ’22 Boyd recently picked up an offer from Nevada. This is a kid who rose his stock during the offseason and impressed at numerous camps and 7v7’s, and has translated that to the regular season as he continues to have a productive year. He should and could see some more Mountain West offers come through as well. [player_tooltip player_id="42929" first="Ja’Kobi" last="Lane"], WR, Red Mountain ’23 Lane also pulled in a Nevada offer, which was his first offer since the September 1st offer from Colorado. The long 6’5" 170lb WR will be an intriguing prospect to follow going forward. [player_tooltip player_id="100666" first="Alfred" last="Smith"], DB, Chandler ’22 "Smitty Island" picked up an FCS offer this week from Montana State. Since last season, Smith has seen a big leap in his stock as he now holds offers from Montana State, Army, St. Norbert, South Dakota School of Mines, Southwest Minesotta State, Benedictine, Western New Mexico, and Navy. [player_tooltip player_id="110084" first="Richard" last="Stallworth"], QB, Yuma Catholic ’23 The biggest arm in 3A picked up his first and well overdue offer from Adams State. In my opinion, Stallworth projects more of a FCS-lower FBS level talent, and could potentially see those offers flood in relatively soon given his production from the past two seasons and anther year to go.
Commitments [player_tooltip player_id="161972" first="Devin" last="Dunn"], DB, Chandler ’22 (Air Force) [player_tooltip player_id="161939" first="Brigham" last="Alexander"], OL, Ben Franklin ’22 (BYU)
