Olentangy Liberty vs Hilliard Davidson Defensive Game Report

Fall was in the air last night for this thriller.  Playoff seeding implications were on the line and the game came down to the wire.  Hilliard Davidson fought back in the 4th Quarter and won 23-20 on a walk-off field goal. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Hilliard Davidson</strong></span> #32 <strong>Caden Wilson</strong> MLB (2024) - Caden is a very good sophomore defensive player.  He moves really well inside the box and has good technique.  He is a tough player with good tackling ability.  He is already 6'1 and 205 so will grow these next two off seasons.  He has a quick pass drop and closes on WR's fast. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/14763811/Caden-Wilson">https://www.hudl.com/profile/14763811/Caden-Wilson</a> #47 <strong>Turner Schmidt</strong> DE (2024) - The future is bright for this sophomore.  He is really quick off the ball and aggressive.  Runs around with his hair on fire and gets after it.  Gets to lockout quickly and reads blocks above his age.  He tackles well and is aggressive at the point of attack. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/14763823/Turner-Schmidt">https://www.hudl.com/profile/14763823/Turner-Schmidt</a> <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Olentangy Liberty</strong></span> #55 <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="129172" first="Dylan" last="Graber"]</strong> DL (2022) - This Ball State committ balled out last night.  He plays NG and faced a good center all night long and showed flashes of dominance.  He is very flexible and coiled in his stance.  He comes off the snap low and hard with a powerful punch.  Gets to lockout quickly and makes good plays on ball to and ball away.  Does a good job of reading run/pass and defeating blocks.  Relentless pass rusher with good bend back to the QB and technique. He is going to be an excellent college football player. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/11334909/Dylan-Graber">https://www.hudl.com/profile/11334909/Dylan-Graber</a> #47 <strong>Erik Thompson</strong> LB (2022) - Standing 6’1 and weighing 195, Erik is the perfect size for a college LB about to make a jump.  He was all over the field on Friday night.  Reads run/pass well and gets to his gap with proper leverage almost every time.  He tackles really well and is super aggressive.  He makes his presence felt to the offensive ball carriers.  He is a very good pass rusher who has the techniques and relentlessness of a DE.
