As we know, the South Florida recruiting landscape is highly competitive. I would go as far as saying its the most competitive in the entire country.
You currently have prospects throughout the region beginning to narrow down where they will play in college. Many of them have already committed and will sign during the various periods.
My focus is on those players that remain unsigned. Below are my thoughts on where some of them might end up.
[player_tooltip player_id="49982" first="Shemar" last="Stewart"] - Monsignor Pace defensive end

[player_tooltip player_id="49982" first="Shemar" last="Stewart"] is one of the top edge rushers in the entire country. Therefore, my lean is telling me he would want to join the top conference in college football. That would be the SEC with Texas A&M and Georgia as the front runners. Stewart could either play in the best division (SEC West) in college football or join the top defense as it stands in the country with the Bulldogs. I do not think he will end up at the University of Miami. The Canes have too many uncertainties. My gut is telling me the Aggies.
[player_tooltip player_id="49989" first="Marvin" last="Jones Jr"]. - American Heritage linebacker
Florida State would appear to have an edge as Jones’ father, Marvin Jones Sr., played with the Noles in the early 1990s. I’m just not as sold. Jones has a friendly relationship with current Oklahoma linebacker and former STA Raider Nik Bonitto. I just don’t see Florida State as a positive destination right now given they are 3-4. In fact, I don’t see any state of Florida school being particularly appealing. I’m going to lean with the Sooners or an SEC school.
[player_tooltip player_id="50006" first="Julian" last="Armella"] - St. Thomas Aquinas
Armella is another prospect with a tie to Florida State. His father, Enzo Armella, was a nose guard for the Noles from 1991-1994. The 6-foot-7 offensive tackle has been coveted by almost every school in the country. LSU appears high on his list. I'm going with the Tigers. This will probably mean both of my last two picks will end up at Florida State.
Earl Little Jr. - American Heritage cornerback

I am very confident that Little Jr. will end up in Tuscaloosa or Baton Rouge. I will lean with Alabama as the Crimson Tide have had a healthy number of defensive backs taken in the NFL draft in recent years. Former American Heritage and Alabama star Patrick Surtain II is a recent example. LSU might challenge that moniker as it has been called DBU (Defensive Back U). Little Jr. will end up in the SEC.
