This week I went to another Gretna game, it was a close game almost the whole way through and was a great game to watch and see what these two teams did under pressure. This game was very close at the beginning, The Dragons drove down to get stuffed and only get 3 points this was the only points in the first quarter. Southeast did not back down driving and scoring with a run by Max Buttenback. Gretna would get another scoring opportunity after Brayden Cheney blocked a punt and set them up for some scores. the score at halftime would read 13-7 with the Dragons ahead. On the opening kickoff for the second half Brayden Cheney took it all the way back for a touchdown upping the dragons lead to 20-7 and the Third quarter was dominant for the Dragons. They forced turnovers and kept the Knights down making the score 34-7 at the end of the third quarter. The Knights could not stop the Dragon's offense. Gretna would score again and make a 2 point conversion to hit the 35 point lead mercy rule. [player_tooltip player_id="161740" first="Jake" last="Appleget"] did finally get a touchdown pass on one of the lass drives of the game and finally the game ended. They had to rely on field goals, especially in the first half.

Gretna has had some issues with letting drives happen, The Knights were able to run down and score quickly in the first quarter taking a quick lead.

    Lincoln Southeast Takeaways

Turnovers, The Knights threw 2 interceptions in the third quarter that directly lead to Gretna Points making the game farther and farther apart than usual.

Special teams, The Knights allowed a missed field goal, a blocked punt, and a kickoff return for a touchdown. These are shots in the foot and helped Gretna gain momentum going into the second half,

Lincoln Southeast had a couple of great drives they were able to get the push on the Dagons, especially in the first quarter. [player_tooltip player_id="161740" first="Jake" last="Appleget"] did play his tail off and helped his team stay in the game.
