1. Austin Novosad Austin Novosad 6'4" | 195 lbs | QB Dripping Springs | 2023 State TX (JR-QB) – Dripping Springs High School (Dripping Springs, TX)
Stats: 304 passing yards, 5 passing touchdowns, 1 interception
Novosad demolished the Lehman defense. In the game, he showcased his cannon of an arm, his mid-deep ball accuracy, and his calmness in the pocket. Not only that, but he was also able to get throws off quickly and did not wait too long for the defense to bring pressure.
2. Kyle Koch (SO-WR) – Dripping Springs High School (Dripping Springs, TX)
Stats: 6 receptions, 132 receiving yards, 4 receiving touchdowns
One receiver that benefitted from Novosad’s performance was Koch, who had an astounding four receiving touchdowns. Koch was deadly when thrown to deep and showed off his excellent route-running capabilities. He can make a post route look easy, but when there was tight coverage, he also had no problem reeling in the catch.
3. Josh Pell (SR-QB) – Cedar Park High School (Cedar Park, TX)
Stats: 250 passing yards, 5 passing touchdowns
Pell, much like Novosad, had a heck of a passing game as well. Pell had no problem throwing the ball anywhere on the field. His timing on throws was near perfection and he showed off a wicked cannon. The Anderson defense struggled to keep up with him, and Pell did not miss any opportunities for a big play.
4. Nick Grullon (SR-WR) – Cedar Park High School (Cedar Park, TX)
Stats: 5 receptions, 71 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns
Grullon also had a great game and this receiver can surely catch a ball in traffic. An excellent redzone threat, Grullon is the go-to receiver whenever Cedar Park is in scoring position and for good reason. Grullon is consistently catching touchdown receptions and even while in some tight spots.
5. Derrick Johnson Derrick Johnson 5'11" | 190 lbs | DB Lake Travis | 2022 State TX (SR-RB) – Lake Travis High School (Austin, TX)
Stats: 157 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns
Johnson was a monster against Austin. He was essentially impossible to tackle and if there was any kind of lane to the endzone, Johnson was going to find it and barrel through it regardless of who was in his way. Johnson is reminiscent of a young Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb.
6. Dior Bradfield (SR-QB) – Weiss High School (Pflugerville, TX)
Stats: 250 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns
7. Mason Shorb Mason Shorb 6'3" | 175 lbs | QB Rouse | 2023 State TX (JR-QB) – Rouse High School (Leander, TX)
Stats: 245 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns
8. Quinten Joyner (JR-RB) – Manor High School (Manor, TX)
Stats: 211 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns
Joyner also had a monster game against Pflugerville, able to rush for over 200 yards. If any opposing defenses leave a hole, Joyner is going to sprint right through it and past the secondary. This running back is arguably one of the most dangerous in Central Texas right now.
9. Justice Hurt (SR-QB) – Taft High School (San Antonio, TX)
Stats: 110 passing yards, 303 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns
Talking about monster games, Hurt put on quite the show against Brennan. The quarterback ran the ball all over the field, putting up the insane stats that are listed above. While he did not show off his throwing abilities much in the game, he sure did make a name for himself as one of the best scramblers in Texas.
10. Ben McCreary (SR-RB) – Johnson High School (San Antonio, TX)
Stats: 361 rushing yards, 5 rushing touchdowns
