Nick Alig – New Bremen – WR/CB – 5’10” 175 lbs
Alig plays on both sides of the ball and he never seems to get tired. He’s in fantastic shape and flies around the field just as much in the 4th QTR as he does in the 1st QTR. They like to use him in the slot and let him get open. He’s also big enough to take the hits over the middle of the field. He took a slant 70-yards to the house early in the game. He caught it and was just gone. He finished the night with just under 200 receiving yards and a TD.
Michael Smith – Trotwood – WR/CB – 5’10” 155 lbs
Trotwood is fantastic at maximizing Smith’s talents. They just get him the ball as much as they can. They’ll line him up in the backfield and at WR. He accelerates in a flash and has elite top-end speed. He’s going to make guys miss and get the most of every touch. He touched the ball 22 times on Friday. He finished the night with just under 200 scrimmage yards and 2 TDs.
Evan Jones – Troy – RB – 5’11” 210 lbs
Jones is a powerful back and once he gets a full head of steam he is incredibly hard to tackle. They like to toss it to him out wide so he can get full speed before making contact with anybody. He isn’t going to make very many defenders miss but he’ll try running them over. He busted a 42-yard TD run early in the 3rd QTR as well. He finished the night with 100 rushing yards and a TD.
Nick Kawecki – Troy – RB – 5’10” 195 lbs
Kawecki and Jones were the perfect combination on Friday. Troy rotates the 2 backs and it’s a killer for defenses. Kawecki is a much quicker and agile back. When they’re looking for a big play and a splash they’ll turn to Kawecki. He touched the ball 14 times and had 121 rushing yards and a TD. Troy ran all over West Carrolton and they couldn’t stop either of the 2 backs Troy had going.
Drew Copsey – Miamisburg – QB – 6’0″ 185 lbs
Copsey was fantastic on Friday. He led Miamisburg to an easy 35-0 victory. He got into a groove early throwing the ball and he stayed in it all night long. He threw 3 TD passes and then was adding a bunch of yardage on the ground. He’s a real weapon when you’re looking to contain their offense and he wasn’t stopped on Friday. He added 74-yards on the ground and 1 pretty sick stiff arm to a defender trying to make the play.
