Ray Greene – Wayne – RB – 5’6″ 165 lbs
Greene is incredibly fast and shifty. He’s going to make at least 1 defender miss a play. His height actually bodes well for him when he’s on the field. He’s short enough that he can make cuts and weave through traffic that some backs can’t. He’s the most dynamic player on the field and they just like getting the ball in his hands. He took one screenplay and got the corner and was gone. Greene is a ton of fun to watch and I look forward to seeing more of him in the coming weeks.
Javian Brownlee – Northmont – WR – 5’10” 170 lbs
Brownlee is really fun to watch. They use him in creative ways and like to see what he can do with the ball in his hands. The answer? He’s great with the ball in his hands. He has the size to go up and over defenders but is still agile enough to make them miss. He made 7 grabs on the night for 81-yards and a touchdown. He was consistent and a reliable option. When they needed him he came through.
Kameron Mckinney – West Carrolton – WR – 6’1″ 180 lbs
Mckinney is a big possession WR that you stick on the outside and let him play 1 on 1 with the DB on him. He’s going to win most of those reps and if you throw the ball in his vicinity he’s going to come down with it. They like to use him in jet sweeps and motions just to keep him involved when things aren’t going their way. Mckinney was dynamic and finished the night with over 100 total yards and 1 score.
Camden Vordermark – Sidney – RB/WR – 6’0″ 185 lbs
Sidney has a 3-headed monster at RB and they rotate them all game. The running game was fierce on Friday and all 3 backs were extremely efficient and effective. Vordermark was the goal line back because he’s the biggest of the 3. When they need the tough gritty yards they call on Vordermark to come through. He found the endzone on a goal-line carry where he bulled into the defender and plowed him and the reinforcements back into the endzone.
Brock Ebright – Eaton – QB – 6’0″ 177 lbs
Ebright is leading one of the best programs in the state right now and has Eaton firing on all cylinders. Eaton is currently undefeated and rolled Brookeville in what was supposed to be a matchup of 2 great teams. Ebright got comfortable early and then just delivered strikes all night. He moved Eaton up and down the field and finished the night with over 250 passing yards and 3 TDs.
