Jerry Rangel- DB, Buchanan, 2022
Rangel is a talented and fearless leader in the secondary for one of the most talented teams in Central California. He shows great ball skills creating turnovers and is an extremely physical tackler sideline to sideline. He’s equally effective filling the box and providing physical run support or covering his safety spot with solid coverage instincts. He plays the position with great intensity and flies around to the ball. Rangel just received his first offer from D-III Willamette and should continue to see increased interest with the strong senior season he’s put together.
Blessed to receive my very first offer! Want to thank the coaches at Willamette for taking the chance on me. AG2G🙏@buchananbear_fb @IamCoachMcGinty @BrandonHuffman @josiahayon2 pic.twitter.com/jpG8cHBW94

Jeremiah Shelton- DL, Central, 2022
Shelton is an impact player up front who can make plays as a physical run-stopper and rushing the QB off the edge. He’s consistently blown up plays in the backfield with an explosive first step and uses his long reach to keep OL from getting into his body. He has an athletic frame at 6’2 240 lbs., and shows good bend around the edge. Shelton’s recruitment has been quiet so far but this DE has the physical skills and tools to play at the next level.

Aaron Martinez- DB, Ridgeview, 2022
Martinez has been a ballhawking playmaker in the secondary for Ridgeview this season. He’s a rangy athlete that can cover and tackle sideline to sideline. He covers ground in the secondary reading QB eyes and shows timing and instincts jumping routes to break up passes. He closes space quickly and shows an understanding of field leverage coming up to tackle from his safety spot. Martinez is waiting on his first offer but has attracted some interest from several D-I schools.

Julian Garcia- DL, Clovis, 2022
Garcia has been an extremely disruptive player up front for Clovis this season. He explodes off the LOS and uses his strength and leverage effectively to push OL off the spot. He can plug gaps in the run game and is extremely physical at the point-of-attack. He’s a relentless pass rusher playing with a high motor. Garcia will look to continue his disruptive play in Clovis’ regular season finale against Clovis West this week.
Gavin Nelson- DE, Buchanan, 2022
Nelson provides a physical presence on the edge for Buchanan’s strong front seven. He’s violent with his hands and utilizes his long reach to keep blockers off his body. He’s effective at setting a strong edge and shows great lateral movement tracking down ball carriers. He’s shown development in his foundation of pass rush moves and instincts this season. Nelson will be looking to continue his strong senior season as Buchanan heads into the playoffs in November.
