Central Ohio Recruiting Standouts Playoffs – Volume 1

We had many outstanding performances last night! I will outline the top players below. St. Francis DeSales #23 Max Shulaw LB (2024) - Max is a rising star in Central Ohio. He is technically sound, aggressive, and a good tackler. He reads plays well and takes his gaps properly maintaining good leverage. He lockouts with authority and sheds easily. He is a great blitzer who makes plays and wreaks havoc. Made a game winning play last night. He is very dynamic on defense and special teams. He is the kind of player who jumps off the film and makes plays all over the field. He plays OLB and drops into coverage with good closing ability. He sets the edge with good technique and his outside arm free. He does a good job of shedding blocks and folding back inside. He makes great tackles and gets players on the ground. Should be great the rest of the way in the playoffs. He is a highly skilled runner and playmaker. He does a tremendous job of getting vertical once he hits the edge and accelerates. He has open field wiggle with twitchy movements. He stands 6’3 and runs hard and behind his pads. Plays on specials and defense and is equally impressive.
