Justin Eklund Justin Eklund 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Folsom | 2022 State CA , LB, Folsom
Eklund was one of the best kept secrets in Northern California prior to the short spring season when his recruitment skyrocketed. After being sidelined for an extended time due to injury and covid, he finally got the attention he deserved by pulling in 12 D1 offers before committing to San Jose State in late June. At 6’3” 220 lbs. he’s a versatile game changer on the defensive side. He shows good initial quickness off the LOS and is a natural bender coming off the edge. He uses his hands well to maintain separation and disengage from blocks as he locates the ball carrier or QB. Great burst to close in pursuit, he can run and move laterally to chase down tackles sideline to sideline. He’s one of the top all-around defenders in the state.
5-0! Off to a great start. @Passing_Academy @IAmTDowns @dlinevids1 @BrandonHuffman @CoachScottRob https://t.co/OkWO0daNGn

Chris Johnson Chris Johnson 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Roosevelt | 2022 State CA , DB, Roosevelt
The San Diego State commit is a lockdown corner with pure athleticism and exceptional ball skills. He checks a lot of boxes in terms of physical skillset for CB with his combination of speed, quickness, and lateral agility. He’s loose in the hips to quickly transition, change directions, and match WR movement. Great break on the ball out of his backpedal using his burst to close and recovery speed. One of his best traits is his ball skills, he’s a competitor and attacks the ball at the high point with strong hands and plus body control. Also, racks up PBU’s at the short and intermediate levels. Picked up six D1 offers before committing to SDSU including Northwestern, Boston College, Boise State, San Jose State, and Army.

Harmon Savaiinaea Harmon Savaiinaea 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Cathedral Catholic | 2022 State CA , LB, Cathedral Catholic
A three down LB that is an all-around defensive playmaker as a pass rusher, run stopper, and cover guy. He’s a smart and instinctual player that has a great feel for the game and a nose for the football. He’s high effort but always in control and balanced being very efficient with his movement and attack angles. Does a great job using his hands to shed blockers and then pursue. Great awareness and ability to create turnovers using a strong punch out or strip. Still uncommitted but has a solid group of offers to pick from at this point including Hawaii, Colorado State, Colorado, San Diego State, and NAU.

Damonie Perkins Damonie Perkins 6'1" | 205 lbs | LB De La Salle | 2022 State CA , LB, De La Salle
Another piece to San Jose State’s strong 2022 recruiting class. Perkins is a versatile prospect at 6’1” 215 lbs. with plus athleticism and fluidity. He’s smooth and efficient with his movement showing good game speed and short area burst to redirect and pursue. In combination with his natural ability, he’s a technician with his fundamentals and footwork as you would expect playing at a high level in the De La Salle program. He plays fast and physical bringing strong contact to every tackle. Has also been effective filling in at RB this season when called upon. A lot to like about his skillset for the D1 level.
After great consideration, and continuous conversation with San Jose Coach staffing, I am blessed and excited to announce I am committing to San Jose State Univeristy for football! #spartanup @RealCoachCarter @CoachWhiteEra @KTPrepElite @CoachDev_KTPrep @CoachBrennan pic.twitter.com/3DT22jr9lo

Treyton White Treyton White 6'1" | 230 lbs | LB Eastlake | 2022 State CA , DE, Eastlake
White is a tough and physical throwback football player with a well-built and sturdy 6’2” 235 lb. frame. Has the talent, athleticism, and versatility to play multiple positions on the defensive side at the college level. He’s a disruptive force coming off the edge making plays as they develop at or behind the LOS. Great natural strength in both the upper and lower body, he overwhelms blockers with his initial quickness and power at the POA. Love his ability to rush the passer and use a variety of tools to disengage including his speed, strength, and flexibility. Picked up five D1 offers from Arizona, Columbia, NAU, and Pennsylvania before committing to San Diego State just last week.

Marquis Conley Marquis Conley 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Upland | 2022 State CA , DB, Upland
Strong cover corner with a long frame at 6’1” 170 lbs. He’s a fluid athlete with the ability to be effective both in press and off coverage. Good transitional speed and reactionary quickness, he accelerates out of his back pedal with a strong burst and good leg drive to break on the ball. Plus technique, fundamentals, and footwork in coverage. He does a great job being physical and using his hands at the LOS to gain leverage. Love his awareness and route recognition in coverage. Good open field tackler that flies around and makes plays all over the field. Thus far he’s been offered by San Jose State, San Diego State, Nevada, and Boise State.
After a great talk with @CoachWhiteEra I am blessed to announce my 4th offer from San José State University #SpartanUp 🟡🔵@upland_fb @RhareBreed7on7 @rharebreedaa pic.twitter.com/7CnPCORYBt
