The Clear Falls Knights been on a great path so far beating every team with high scores. However, The Dickinson Gators handed them their 1st lost this season with a shocking score of 28-7. Although, Clear Falls lost I think both teams had great players on each side. I’ll be discussing Clear Fall Knights’ offensive standouts.
#8 Cameron Roberson QB Jr 6’0 180 lbs
Clear Falls Knights only scored once and it was by their own quarterback rushing the ball in. #8 Cameron Roberson was playing the game the only way he knew how efficiently. I love watching quarterbacks that can run the ball as good as they can throw the ball. Cameron was great passer had one hell of an arm. However, Cameron has some fields to improve in like his accuracy and improve on his vision of the whole field. Cameron sometimes couldn’t connect properly with some of his wide receivers. I would say it varied at times on whose fault it would be, but improve his overall accuracy I don’t think it would be a problem. Cameron at times being under pressure reduced his view of the field. Not allowing him to see open wide receiver that could of acquired the necessary yards they desperately needed. Cameron still had a great night he had eight carries and got the only touchdown.
#17 Luke Vidal WR Sr
Luke Vidal impressed me by showcasing his variety of skills. Luke is a wide receiver with a good amount of speed. What stood out to me wasn’t his speed and catching, but his passing. When the situation called for it The Clear Falls Knights did a reversal play with Luke as the quarterback. Whenever, they put him as quarterback Luke proved to be a valiant and dependable passer. Luke had a great 39 yard pass down the field that lead to them getting their 1st and only touchdown.
#6 David Smith RB, SB Jr 5’9 180 lbs
The Clear Falls Knights had a fast and dependable running back in David Smith. David had a great starting run being fast and quick off the ball. If David had an open path he was definitely getting a 1st down and more. David had a big 40 yard run that almost led to a touchdown. I’m expecting a lot more progress from David in his junior and senior year of football.
#22 Payton Greer RB, WR So
The Clear Falls Knights offense had a lot of variety with players being able to fill out different roles on offense like Luke Vidal and Payton Greer. Payton filled the roles of running back, fullback and wide receiver. Payton was a hard worker and he was able to transition to any of these position efficiently. I enjoyed watching Payton as a running back the most. Payton wasn’t as fast as David, but David was a powerful runner and broke through the Gator’s defense to get yards.
The Clear Falls Knights had some great offensive weapons, they had a lot of opportunities to score, but The Dickinson Gators had an overwhelming defense. I also think the play calls could of been better to properly utilize The Clear Fall’s offensive standouts.
