One of the best teams in the entire nation Katy High School (4-0) played against Woodlands High School (2-2) on Thursday September 16th, 2021. Both teams were equal majority of the game with the score being at a standstill for a while. However, Katy pulled ahead at the end with a score of 21-14. The famous Katy High School still has a great lineup in 2021 I’ll be talking about their offensive standouts.
#23 Seth Davis Seth Davis 5'7" | 165 lbs | RB Katy | 2023 State TX RB Jr 5’8 170 lbs
Katy has a strong offense very run heavy built around #23 Seth Davis Seth Davis 5'7" | 165 lbs | RB Katy | 2023 State TX . Seth is a running back and a very fast one at that. If Seth got the proper protection and an open path there was no catching him. Seth had a big 49 yard run that put them next to the end zone and another 49 yard run touchdown. Although, Seth isn’t a particularly big running back he had to use his speed and foot work to get yards because Seth couldn’t break tackles physically. Seth is a college prospect having offers to University of Houston, Navy Football, Yale University and Air Force Football. Seth ended the night by rushing in two touchdowns.
#73 Caleb Webb OG Sr 5’10
Katy had a fairly big offensive line. The one that stood out the most to me might been one of the shortest one which was #73 Caleb Webb. Caleb is an offensive guard he was vastly persistent blocking his man until the whistle was blown. Since Katy focused heavy on their run game Caleb is definitely the offensive lineman to have to execute run properly.
#81 Jr Ceyanes WR Jr 6’2 155 lbs
Jr Ceyanes is a big body when I first saw him I thought he was a tight end. Jr is a very aggressive wide receiver. Katy being a run heavy team didn’t pass the ball a lot, but every play it was needed Jr was committed to blocking. Jr locked his man down allowing Seth to run free. If Jr put on some more weight I do think he could become a better tight end than wide receiver.
#9 Antonio Silva WR Sr 6’0 190 lbs
With Katy being run heavy their weren’t a lot of chances for passes, but when they did throw the ball they threw it to #9 Antonio Silva. Antonio is an adequate wide receiver every time he got the chance Antonio catch the ball and got a 1st down. I wish I could of seen more opportunities for Antonio to standout, but I’m sure Antonio will have a great senior year.
#26 Isaiah Smith RB, FB Sr 5’10 200 lbs
Isaiah Smith played both running back and fullback. Isiaiah didn’t run the ball as much as Seth, but he definitely contributed to the offense. Isiaiah was able to fulfill both his positions as an aggressive and fast runner and a passionate and strong blocker. Isaiah being able to play both his positions exceptionally made him stand out to me. Isaiah ended the night by scoring the last touchdown.
