Toby Cates Jr. made the most of his opportunities in J.L. Mann’s 50-18 win over Pickens. Cates had only two catches, but those went for 94 yards and scores of 59 and 35 yards.
Belton-Honea Path’s AJ Pendleton turned in a rugged rushing performance as the Bears picked up their first win of the year. Pendleton ran for 121 yards and a touchdown, adding 88 passing yards, as BHP downed Woodruff 29-21
Vashun Burton had a great night for T.L. Hanna, as the Yellow Jackets rolled over Easley 62-14. Burton had nine carries on a short night of work, picking up 123 yards and scoring twice in the victory.
Greer found another component to its rushing attack, as LaDainnian Martin showed up big in the Yellow Jackets’ 34-33 thriller over Union County. Martin had 22 carries for 132 yards and scored twice, including a 3-yard run in the fourth quarter that gave Greer the lead for good.
Grayson Klue Grayson Klue 5'11" | 175 lbs | RB Christ Church | 2022 State SC had a great game on the ground in Christ Church’s 48-20 victory over Asheville School. Klue rushed for 181 yards on 24 carries, scoring a pair of touchdowns to lead the Cavaliers.
