Crystal Lake Central
Braydon Gibour DL Twitter
Mr. Gibour has quick reaction to the ball where he was able to get his hands up to deflect a pass and almost came away with an interception early in the game. He takes on blocks head-on filling gaps in run support and holds his gap responsibilities not allowing cutback lanes to open up.
Anthony Morales DL
Mr. Morales uses his hands at the point of attack resulting in him getting off of his blocks to make the tackle. He also fills gaps in run support where he would occasionally meet the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage for no gain on the play.
Tommy McNeil DL
Mr. McNeil does the little things for this defense such as holding his gap responsibilities and filling the gaps in run support. He uses his hands at the point of attack to get off of his block to make the tackle at the line of scrimmage. This young man creates piles at the line of scrimmage plugging up the running lanes giving his teammates time to rally to the ball as well.
Jacobs
Dino Hunt 5’11 210 LB Twitter
Mr. Hunt fills holes in run support where he occasionally meets the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage resulting in no gain on the play. He also covers sideline to sideline for his team limiting big runs when the ball carrier bounces the play outside. This young man also got himself a fumble recovery for a touchdown showcasing his awareness as there was a pile of bodies fighting for the ball when the ball popped out of the pile giving this young man the opportunity to scoop and score.
Paulie Rudolph 5’11 205 LB Twitter
Mr. Rudolph has the closing speed to cover sideline to sideline extending the play horizontally and takes pursuit angles to make the tackle downfield. He also fills holes in run support and attacks downhill to make the open-field tackle.
Joseph Scrivani 6’1 180 LB
Mr. Scrivani does a nice job of bringing pressure off of the blitz where he times it well and gets to the Quarterback in the backfield. He also fills holes in run support where he will meet the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage for no gain on the play and attacks downhill with his closing speed.
Antonio Brown 5’11 180 LB Twitter
Mr. Brown attacks downhill to make open-field tackles for his team and stacks the box filling the C gap in run support. He also holds outside contain to ensure that the ball carrier doesn’t bounce the play outside and the Quarterback stays in the pocket instead of scrambling for a 1st down.
