I am back covering the Philadelphia Public League and Del-Val League this year after what was a successful first year covering the Spring season months back. The PPL and DVL are loaded with talented kids who need extra exposure to boost their recruitment, that’s where we step in. We will highlight game scores and the top-ranked or unranked prospects in each game. Many teams were inactive and are expected to debut this upcoming week. * None denotes that not enough film was available to watch to pick top performers.
Philadelphia Public League
* Frankford 50 - Washington 0

Anthony Torres Jr. | 6’0, 170 | QB | Frankford | 2023 | R/256

[player_tooltip player_id="140832" first="Nadir" last="Mitchell"] | 5’8, 160 | ATH | Frankford | 2022 | R/193

[player_tooltip player_id="186312" first="Jameer" last="Johnson"] | 6’0, 220 | DL | Frankford | 2022 | R/WL

Junior Quarterback Anthony Torres was absolutely electric and got yards at will against Washington this past weekend. Counted four total touchdowns on the Hudl. Tape showed serious dual-threat ability and track-star speed to match. Real chance this kid could make the 1st-Team All-Pub team at quarterback. Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id="140832" first="Nadir" last="Mitchell"] has put the PPL on notice again as he continues to churn big games, scoring three rushing touchdowns in this rout of Washington. Mitchell is showing he has hands, as Frankford is having him catch swing passes out of the backfield. He’s returning punts for FK as well. [player_tooltip player_id="186312" first="Jameer" last="Johnson"] and the Frankford defense as a whole stood out. * Northeast 18 - St. Joseph’s Prep (NJ) 31

[player_tooltip player_id="140926" first="Terail" last="Greene"] | 5’11, 185 | RB | Northeast | 2023 | R/76

[player_tooltip player_id="140868" first="Jordin" last="Jones"] | 5’9, 180 | RB | Northeast | 2022 | R/100

[player_tooltip player_id="140829" first="Donovan" last="Saunders"] | 6’3, 290 | OL | Northeast | R/143

[player_tooltip player_id="27559" first="Ken" last="Talley"] | 6’2, 220 | DL | Northeast | 2022 | R/6

[player_tooltip player_id="66046" first="Kion" last="Wright"] | 6’2, 220 | DL | Northeast | 2023 | R/22

[player_tooltip player_id="27738" first="Ronel" last="Nukah"] | 6’2, 230 | DL | Northeast | 2023 | R/10

Personally looking forward to watching the running back tandem of [player_tooltip player_id="140926" first="Terail" last="Greene"] and [player_tooltip player_id="140868" first="Jordin" last="Jones"]. Both players are top 100 prospects in their respective classes. I was a huge fan of [player_tooltip player_id="140868" first="Jordin" last="Jones"] at Penn Wood and am excited to see how he fits with Northeast. The two accounted for over 250+ yards and 2 touchdowns. As for the Northeast defense, the usual suspects show out once again. The monstrous defensive line containing three top-25 prospects did their part to contain SJP as long as they could. Talley came down with 2 sacks and Nukah with 1. This defensive front is going anywhere any time soon. *Haverford 49 - Central 0 None *Imhotep 12 - Pittsburgh Central Catholic 6

Entire Imhotep Defense

[player_tooltip player_id="27730" first="Rahmir" last="Stewart"] | 5’10, 185 | DB/ATH | Imhotep | 2023 |R/1

[player_tooltip player_id="142836" first="Tre" last="McLeod"] | 5’11, 190 | ATH | Imhotep | 2024 | R/15

Sadly, I am still waiting on a ton of film to drop from this game. Reading reports, it sounds as if the entire defense came up big against PCC. That’s far from hard to believe. I have spoken about how talented this defense is time and time again. Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id="27622" first="Will" last="Robinson"] went down in this one, so #1 2023 recruit [player_tooltip player_id="27730" first="Rahmir" last="Stewart"] stepped in and rushed for over 100 yards and a touchdown that would prove to be the difference in this one. I saw [player_tooltip player_id="27553" first="Enai" last="White"], 2022’s top recruit, make the game-clinching sack, as also heard [player_tooltip player_id="142836" first="Tre" last="McLeod"] did things on offense. Can’t wait to break down the film! *Chester 34 - West Philadelphia 6 None *High School of the Future 0 - Bartram 50

Jahmi Hargrove | RB | Bartram | R/U

[player_tooltip player_id="140855" first="Titus" last="David"] | 5’9, 165 | ATH/QB | Bartram | 2022 | R/324

Aamir Pender | 6’1, 230 | ATH | Bartram | 2023 | R/U

Not too much film here either. Hearing back from coaches, These three stood out in the trampling of HOTF. [player_tooltip player_id="140855" first="Titus" last="David"], whose Spring efforts got him ranked on the site, scored in this one. As did both Pender and Hargrove, Hargrove doing so twice. Hargrove and Pender are unranked prospects that I would love to get more film on. *Belmont Charter 26 - Lower Moreland 12 None *Bristol 57 - Vaux Big-Picture 14 None
Delaware Valley League
*Chester 34 - West Philadelphia 6

[player_tooltip player_id="140872" first="Isaiah" last="Freeman"] | 6’3, 195 | QB | Chester | 2022 | R/169

[player_tooltip player_id="94858" first="Darron" last="Miller"] | 6’2, 185 | LB | Chester | 2022 | R/74

[player_tooltip player_id="156292" first="Kylie" last="Harper"] | 6’6, 155 | WR/ATH | Chester | 2022 | R/374

E’Shone Nickens | DB | 2022 | R/U

The theme of this piece is the lack of film for most of these games. This is the case with Chester’s win over West Philly. I saw some highlights of senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="140872" first="Isaiah" last="Freeman"] throwing dimes in the rain, I expect that from him. Would love to see just how good the other prospect listed played. I heard Nickens, who is currently unranked put together a quality outing. *Academy Park 42 - Pennsbury 0

[player_tooltip player_id="140870" first="Ibrahim" last="Sanogo"] | 6’2, 210 | ATH | Academy Park | 2022 | R/102

[player_tooltip player_id="140869" first="Eric" last="Willis"] | 5’9, 150 | ATH | Academy Park | 2022 | R/174

[player_tooltip player_id="140871" first="Ashton" last="Clarkson"] | 5’11, 165 | DB | Academy Park | 2022 | R263

[player_tooltip player_id="140870" first="Ibrahim" last="Sanogo"] continues to make the case that he is the best-unoffered player in Pennsylvania. After a stellar Spring playing running back, tight end, and defensive end for Academy Park, Sanogo has come out and shown he can provide even more. Now the kicker and middle linebacker for AP, the stud athlete is proving he can play sideline-to-sideline. he also recorded two touchdowns on the ground. He is impressive. Willis and Clarkson also had a great spring and had good opening weeks to justify the rankings. *Chichester 15 - Harry S. Truman 9

[player_tooltip player_id="91712" first="Staring" last="Reaves"] | 5’8, 175 | DB | Chichester | 2023 | R/107

[player_tooltip player_id="91712" first="Staring" last="Reaves"] should be another player that is highly regarded out of the DVL. This kid was the best player on the field this past weekend. He should off his range and ball skills, coming down with three interceptions off a talented quarterback. That would be enough, not for Reaves. He was stellar in run support from his safety spot. A flag overturned what would have been a 70+ touchdown where he should serious elusiveness and acceleration off of a dump-off pass behind the line of scrimmage. This kid is special, didn’t get to see much of him this past Spring. I will do my part in getting this kid noticed! * Strath Haven 49 - Interboro 7 None
