However, due to the pure volume of prospects, it’s not uncommon for prospects to slip through the cracks. Today we wanted to look at a few offensive standouts who we think can ball and deserve more attention in the recruiting world. Here’s who to know!
QB: Cergio Perez Cergio Perez 6'0" | 205 lbs | QB Garland | 2022 State TX , 6’1, 205, Garland
A calm and composed gunslinger that is filthy when throwing off-platform. Perez shows plenty of arm strength and can throw the field comeback with authority. He does a great job squaring his shoulders on the move and will place the football right on his target’s numbers. He has the footwork and timing of a polished veteran. He’s already thrown for 25 touchdowns to just three interceptions & is completing 73% of his passes.
Committed to South Dakota
WR: Luke Knight, 5’10, 185, Rock Hill
A speedy receiver that can gash defenses after the catch. He’s crafty against press and uses both his physicality and quickness to beat opposing cornerbacks. He shows outstanding body control with the ball in his hands and is so slippery in space. Knight plays as an x receiver right now but will probably move inside to the slot at the next level. He’s accounted for 560 yards receiving and seven touchdowns through the first five games of the season.
RB: Trenton White, 5’10, 220, Monterey
Only halfway through the regular season, and White is already approaching the one thousand-yard mark, totaling 808 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. When you turn on the tape, you’ll see a stout running back with a strong lower half. His vision is on-point, and he can quickly accelerate once he sees a seam. Despite being a heavier back at two hundred and twenty pounds, White has plenty of speed and outran multiple defenders who had an angle on him. He pairs phenomenal change of direction with a strong, stiff arm to break tackles at the second level.
Offers: Army & Navy
WR: Coy Eakin, 6’3, 205, Stephenville
I’ve written about Coy before, and to be honest, am pretty shocked he still hasn’t picked up a single offer. His stat line is ridiculous as he’s already totaled 759 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns. This is a competitive x receiver who can dominate as both a pass-catcher and blocker. He shows good build-up speed downfield and superior tracking ability. Eakin is extremely effective on double moves and is a physical runner after the catch.
TE: Willie Fagan III, 6’3, 210, Livingston
Willie is probably the least known prospect on this list, but man is there plenty of ability there. He’s a small school kid that has been dominant early on this season. Right now, he’s accounted for 383 yards receiving and five touchdowns. Fagan is a natural catching the ball in traffic and powers his way through tackle attempts. Despite playing tight end, he’s been creating chunk plays in the passing game left and right for Livingston. He’s a matchup nightmare against linebackers and will use his size & speed to gain an advantage in the redzone.
