Week 3 is now in the books and the top prospects in Indiana continue to make their presence felt. The first three weeks of the regular season have seen elite performances from the state’s top receivers. The five receivers on today’s list have given defensive backs a litany of problems in the early portion of the season. This quintet has put together some incredible numbers. All five have set the tone for their teams.

[player_tooltip player_id="98093" first="Crishon" last="McCray"] has begun his season on a torrid pace for the Avon Orioles. Through three games, McCray has hauled in 26 catches for 519 receiving yards. McCray’s receiving yards average is absolutely incredible. He is currently averaging 173 yards per game. McCray is averaging 20 yards per catch. He is somebody who puts constant pressure on the defense due to his route-running ability, speed and athleticism. On top of the aforementioned statistics, he has demonstrated that he has a nose for the end zone. McCray has five touchdown receptions on the young season.

Bishop Luers has gotten off to a 3-0 start, with two road victories over highly-rated 6A opponents in Carroll and Homestead. One of the driving forces behind their successful passing game is [player_tooltip player_id="175710" first="Brody" last="Glenn"]. Glenn has recorded 21 catches so far, racking up 425 receiving yards. Glenn is averaging 141.7 receiving yards per game to go along with an average of 20.2 yards per reception. Glenn has scored four touchdowns so far. He has great chemistry with quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="98092" first="Carson" last="Clark"] and Glenn always finds a way to make big catches in the clutch.
[player_tooltip player_id="97823" first="Cael" last="Vanderbush"], 6’6, 200 pounds, Senior, Plainfield
[player_tooltip player_id="97823" first="Cael" last="Vanderbush"] is a tight end that has the ability to put up wide receiver numbers. Vanderbush has 11 catches and he currently sits just under 400 receiving yards on the year. Vanderbush has an outstanding average of 35.7 yards per catch. Furthermore, he is averaging 131 receiving yards per game. Vanderbush is a constant big play threat. Earlier this year, Vanderbush had a 94-yard reception. Vanderbush has managed to find the end zone on three occasions.

Per usual, Cathedral have proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with this year. [player_tooltip player_id="107080" first="Jaron" last="Tibbs"] has been an electric playmaker for the Fighting Irish offense. Tibbs has put up 357 receiving yards on 19 catches. He is currently averaging an outstanding 119 receiving yards per contest. Tibbs has an average of just under 19 yards per catch. Tibbs has gone to the house three times this year. Cathedral has a roster that is replete with talent and if they can continue to get great production of [player_tooltip player_id="107080" first="Jaron" last="Tibbs"], they could very well make a return trip to Lucas Oil Stadium this year.
[player_tooltip player_id="98101" first="Rory" last="Heltsley"], 6’3, 195 pounds, Senior, Gibson Southern
Gibson Southern has gotten off to a very good start to the season. At the heart of their success is the passing connection between [player_tooltip player_id="39047" first="Brady" last="Allen"] and [player_tooltip player_id="98101" first="Rory" last="Heltsley"]. Heltsley has brought in 15 catches this year, amassing 266 receiving yards through just two games. He is on a great pace with an average of 133 receiving yards per ballgame. Heltsley has 17.7 yards per reception. Heltsley’s six touchdown catches show just why he is an elite receiving threat. If Allen and Heltsley continue to play at a high level, Gibson Southern could be a very tough out this year.
