Wrapping up the week that was “Week Three”, here we give you the state's player of the week by region along with several other top individual performances. East Tennessee ‘23 (QB) Charles Robinson, Jr - Knox. Webb …#EastTN23 * 23-28 passing for 302 yds & 4 TD's; Also had 12 carr. for 73 yds & 1 TD * - It has been a breakout season thus far for Robinson, Jr and last Friday might have been his best game yet where he was efficient and dynamic with both his arm and his legs in the Spartans 44-0 win over Notre Dame. Robinson, Jr has really improved his passing skills along with his overall maturity and you can see that in action on the field. This won't be the last time you hear about Robinson, Jr going forward. Middle Tennessee (DE) Kendyle Ball Kendyle Ball 6'3" | 230 lbs | DL Davidson Academy | 2022 State TN - Davidson Academy …#MidTN22 * 14 total tackles, 10 solo, 4 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 hurry & 1 blocked FG * - Ball was a force for his Bears team in last Friday's victory but it's nothing new as this Middle Tennessee defender is one of the best edge rushers we have in the state, regardless of class. The Bears lean on Ball to make plays on a consistent basis and he always delivers. Last Friday is no different as he was constantly in the backfield causing havoc and I expect him to keep doing the same the rest of the season. West Tennessee (WR) Kaydin Pope Kaydin Pope 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Hardin County | 2022 State TN - Hardin Co. …#WestTN22 * 6 rec. for 226 yds & 3 TD's (Avg. 37.7 yds per catch) * - Yet another stellar game put forth by Pope, who is considered one of the top college receiver prospects not just in this state but the Southern Region. Pope is a legitimate “go-to-guy” that brings a variety of skills to the football field and certainly did that in a 200 plus, 3 touchdown game in last Friday's win. The numbers that Pope is putting up so far this year, certainly puts him in the conversation for Mr. Football by season's end.
