Jesse Carmona, Ganesha, 2022
Ganesha beat crosstown rival Pomona for the first time in 30 years this past week. Giants’ quarterback Jesse Carmona was largely responsible for the team’s offense production. He rushed for 300 yards on 23 carries with five touchdowns. He also passed for 200 yards and accounting for 500 yards of offense as an individual player is astounding. He is a former All-CIF player and the Miramonte League MVP. If he keeps up this production, Ganesha will get on a roll entering league play.

Camdan McWright, St. Genevieve, 2022
St. Genevieve had a nice high-scoring win over Harvard-Westlake and McWright was dominant on the ground. The senior rushed for 212 yards on 15 carries with four touchdowns for the Valiants. It was his second game of the young season with over 200 yards rushing and he has multiple touchdowns in each of the team’s three games. He has breakaway speed and can break tackles better than a lot of running backs in the class.
