[player_tooltip player_id="196846" first="Luke" last="Degner"], Laguna Beach, 2022
Laguna Beach has one of the more underrated passing offenses in Orange County and the top receiver on the team is Degner. He caught seven passes for 112 yards and three touchdowns in the Breakers’ win over Northwood. He has 300 yards receiving and five touchdowns through three games and is on pace to be a potential 1,000 yard receiver with double-digit touchdowns.

Fox Haugen, Canyon (Anaheim), 2023
Canyon had a breakout game against Troy with 413 yards passing. Haugen was the receiver who had a career-night, catching 12 passes for 216 yards and four touchdowns. He plays bigger than a 6-foot-2 receiver and he physically overpowered Troy’s defensive backs. He and quarterback Christian Lundsberg clearly have chemistry and makes me wonder if Canyon can make some noise in the North Hills League.

Carlos Hernandez, Monrovia, 2023
Monrovia is off to a hot start this season and they are a very well-balanced team. The passing game shined in a 25-22 win over Los Altos. Hernandez led the Wildcats receivers with six catches for 142 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He had 200 yards in the season opener against West Covina and has had multiple touchdown catches in every game this season. Hernandez is one of the more underrated receivers in the San Gabriel Valley but is starting to get some buzz.

Xavier Hicks, La Mirada, 2023
Hicks transferred to La Mirada from Orange where he was a big contributor as a sophomore in the spring. "Bubu" single-handedly carried La Mirada’s passing game in a win against St. Margaret’s. He caught five passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns. No other receiver had multiple catches. He will be a guy who will add offers in the offseason.

Mason Powers, La Jolla, 2022
La Jolla has the top quarterback in San Diego with [player_tooltip player_id="141886" first="Jackson" last="Stratton"] and consequently one of the best passing offenses in San Diego. Powers has been the big play target for the Vikings. He only had three catches in a win against Point Loma, but had 111 yards receiving and a touchdown. La Jolla does a good job balancing who they throw the ball to, but when they need a big play, Powers is the one who makes it.
