[player_tooltip player_id="98178" first="Ty" last="Walls"] - 2023 Wide Receiver
This kid is an absolute football player. Anything that a coach could ask of a player, [player_tooltip player_id="98178" first="Ty" last="Walls"] does it. He was absolutely EVERYWHERE during the Backyard Bowl. His blocks sprang [player_tooltip player_id="47955" first="Jaiden" last="Carroll"] for some big gains. His ability to adjust to the ball, an absolutely massive catch radius and very, very good hands led to six catches and 122 yards. He threw a two-point conversion on a busted extra point. Seriously, he was everywhere. Walls has the speed to get separation which he showed on the halfback pass that led to his touchdown where he absolutely left his defender in the dust. Ty is a great route runner who has the ability to make defenders miss in the open field. Walls is truly one to watch. His skill set is absolutely incredible.
[player_tooltip player_id="47955" first="Jaiden" last="Carroll"] - 2023 Running Back
I’m not sure if the scariest thing about both of these guys is their tremendous ability or the fact that they have all of that ability and a whole other season to play in high school. It is a scary proposition for opponents, for sure. Carroll is a well-built, strong running back with very, very good speed. Carroll reads his blocks very well, makes decisive moves and has the speed to leave tacklers behind. Not only is he a great runner, but a great pass catcher out of the backfield, as well. His touchdown from a screen pass was a thing of beauty and showed everything that he offers as a runner. Firstly, he received the ball well, got turned upfield and immediately reacted to blockers in front of him. instead of heading to the sideline, he saw that the path of least resistance was to his right as his linemen engaged with linebackers. He sprinted through to the secondary and beat several men diagonally to the end zone. Just a great all-around player. Carroll is dangerous in so many ways.
[player_tooltip player_id="158438" first="Joey" last="Havir"] - 2022 Defensive Back
The first thing that jumps out about [player_tooltip player_id="158438" first="Joey" last="Havir"] is his outstanding size. He is a safety that stands at 6’3" and 200 lbs. The guy strikes a fearsome silhouette when he puts his foot in the ground, comes out of his back pedal and moves on a receiver or unfortunate ball carrier. The guy hits hard. Havir is a ball-hawk with 16 tackles already on the young season and two forced fumbles. He isn’t just a hard-hitting safety, either... not by a long shot. He is a tremendous coverage man who came up with nine interceptions last season. He applied constant pressure on the Union running game and helped to limit a tremendous rushing team to just 118 rushing yards. His coverage in the passing game helped to limit Union to just 77 passing yards, as well. Havir is always around the ball and any tape you watch of the Jenks defense is going to have big No. 10 flashing into the screen. The college offers have been coming in for this awesome young player and many more should come in as Jenks progresses through their schedule and he shows his very good and very well-rounded skill set.
