Both teams been having a great football season so far. They both have been plowing through the competition and getting better week by week. Before the game Fort Bend Clements was undefeated 4-0. However, Ridge Point decided to end Clements’ win streak with an overwhelming score of 56-20. The Ridge Point Panthers has an impressive lineup on both sides of the ball. I’ll be discussing Ridge Point Panthers offensive standouts.
#6 Kerien Charlo RB Sr 5’8 160 lbs
One of the 1st plays I saw was from running back #6 Kerien Charlo running the ball. Once I did I knew I had to keep on watching Kerien specifically. Kerien is the definition of speed and not only that he utilize his footwork to not waste any energy or movement. Kerien was good at cutting in, finding the hole and getting a ton of yards. Kerien at times also lined up as a slot receiver and demonstrated that he could catch as well as he could run. With the amount of talent Kerien there is no doubt that he will start to get attention from college and universities in his senior year of football.
#20 Mason Dossett Mason Dossett 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Ridge Point | 2024 State TX RB, OLB, CB So 6’1 175 lbs
Another standout running back The Panthers had was #20 Mason Dossett Mason Dossett 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Ridge Point | 2024 State TX . Mason wasn’t one of the fastest running back, but definitely a smart and precise one. Mason was able to get yards and results with his impressive footwork. Mason was strong to push through the defenders and get the job done. Mason still has a lot of room to grow being a sophomore, but he has a whole bunch of potential. Mason ended the night by rushing in for two touchdown.
#25 Z’ericq Earls RB Sr 5’11 175 lbs
The Ridge Point Panthers had a slew of great running backs and Z’ericq Earls was definitely one of them. Z’ericq had the speed and power to pay the bills. Clements’ defense couldn’t handle him Z’ericq was not an easy man to bring down. Z’ericq had countless amount of big runs and even scored a touchdown. Unfortunately, because of his over zealous celebration Z’ericq got a foul for unsportsmanlike conduct. Z’ericq a great athlete just needs to be a bit more humble during games.
#3 Bert Emanuel Jr QB Sr 6’4 205 lbs
When I think about great quarterbacks Ridge Points’ Bert Emanuel will definitely come to mind. Bert had an outstanding performance against Fort Bend Clements. Bert effortlessly lobbed up perfect passes to his receivers. I was stunned when I saw Bert throwing perfect spirals passing consistently. Bert is a textbook quarterback can’t wait to see his progress in his junior and senior year. Bert is a college prospect having offers from Texas Southern University, Army Football, Dartmouth College and The University of Colorado.
#8 Marvin Session WR, TE Sr 6’2 195 lbs
One of Bert’s main target was wide receiver Marvin Session. Marvin is a tall wide receiver easily reaching over any defender. Marvin has a good amount of speed using it to get open down field. With Marvin’s speed, height and Bert’s perfect passes Marvin was able to end the night with three touchdowns.
