Continue ReadingWe’re getting towards the half-way make of the 2021 season and we’re starting to see some 2023 prospects in Georgia take off on the recruiting trail. Multiple prospects have picked up major offers this week and one of the state’s top junior offensive line prospects made his college decision.
Here’s the latest on the recruitment of multiple 2023 prospects…
Bo Hughley – Offensive Tackle- Langston Hughes
One of the top overall offensive line prospects in Georgia, the tall, lean tackle at 6-foot-7 290-pounds made an early college decision this week as he committed to the in-state Georgia Bulldogs over Auburn, Arkansas, among others. Hughley is a guy that hasn’t even scratched the surface of his potential. He has impressive size for a future SEC tackle with his long arms and he moves really well for his size. He plays with balance and shows good footwork as well. The raw tools are there, and as he continues to grow and develop, he’ll only get better. He’s exactly what you look for from a physical standpoint and has the potential to climb the national rankings over time in the 2023 class. Hughley is anchoring an offensive line at Langston Hughes that has lit up the scoreboard over the last few weeks.

Dylan Longeran – Quarterback – Brookwood
One of the top QBs across the state, Lonergan is a big-armed gunslinger having a really solid junior season. He already holds offers from some of the top college programs in the country, and he added another big one this week from Stanford. Thee Cardinal are very specific on who they offer, so they don’t throw them out the way other programs do. This is a big deal for the 6-foot-2 215-pounder who has thrown for over 1,260 yards 13 TDs in four games this season. He has one of the strongest arms in the state and he can make all the throws at this level. He’s also been great with his legs, rushing for another 153 yards. He now holds an offer from Stanford to go along with offers from Georgia, Ohio State, Florida, Auburn, among others.
Very blessed to receive an offer from Stanford Univeristy!!!🔴⚪️ @tavitap @CoachDavidShaw @Mansell247 @ChadSimmons_ @coachkatzbhs pic.twitter.com/prbQnLGwkK

Jonathan Echols
One of the hottest 2024 prospects in Georgia, Echols is in the middle of a breakout season and his recruitment is taking off. The big do-it-all athlete stands at 6-foot-5 225-pounds and already shows signs of an elite pass rusher. He can already use his size and raw strength to dominate veteran offensive lineman, but his quickness and explosiveness off the ball is what makes him one of the top young 2024 defenders in the state. He’s lightning fast off the edge and has a great motor to get after the quarterback. He’s technically sound for his age and has the natural instincts to use his hands to get off blocks. He still needs time to develop, but he has all the raw tools that college staffs look for. He’s already one of the best players on the field at any given time, and he’s only a sophomore. Echols earned a major offer this week and it came from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. Look for more to come his way sooner than later.

Lawson Luckie Lawson Luckie 6'3" | 225 lbs | TE Norcross | 2023 State GA – Tight End – Norcross
Already known as one of the nation’s top tight end prospects across the country in the 2023 class, the 6-foot-3 225-pounder from Gwinnett County picked up arguably the biggest offer you could get. One from the Alabama Crimson Tide. Luckie is a true do-everything tight end who can make a big impact not only in the passing game, but blocking in the run game as well. He’s detail oriented, strong, physical and athletic. He’s an intelligent student and player, with the size to easily play at the next level. Luckie has caught 17 passes this year for 117 yards. He’s a guy who does everything right and will continue to climb the rankings over time in the 2023 class.

One of the top offensive line prospects in the region, the big 6-foot-6 295-pounder has put on a ton of weight this off-season and has quickly become one of the hottest prospects in the state. The junior has a great frame, plenty of length, and still looks lean enough to continue adding solid weight and muscle. He plays with a solid base and shows impressive footwork for someone his size. He’s still learning, but he’s getting better and better with each practice. He’s got a lot of potential and could quickly rise in the 2023 rankings over the next few months. He earned another D1 offer this week from N.C State, giving him multiple impressive ACC offers to date. Look for more to come his way this fall.
