Here is part II of this series in which we will look at some of the top performances put on my Northern California athletes from this week. This will feature players from the defensive side of the ball and breakdown some of the top players from Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

Hoffman can play on both sides of the ball at the next level and is one of the top two-way players across the region. This week, he had 5 sacks against a very strong opponent and showed his elite pass rush ability, bend and first step explosion off the ball. He will continue to be a dominant force on one of the top defenses in Norcal.

The do it all player for the Honkers is having a heck of a Junior season. Having a touchdown and 15 tackles this weekend, he was flying all over the field showing strong tackling ability and elite closing speed in space while taking good angles to ball carriers and exploding through contact.
DB [player_tooltip player_id="190436" first="Khai" last="Taylor"], Pittsburg HS
Taylor went toe to toe with one of the best teams in the state on Friday night and against elite receivers and showed his cover abilities, natural athleticism and hip fluidity in space/transition. He has terrific ball skills and tracking ability, while able to recover with good long speed and length when trailing. In run support, he is not afraid to come up and tackle in the box and does a good job at not taking false steps and exploding through contact against bigger ball carriers.
LB Jordan Wagner, Lincoln HS
Against Whitney, Wagner had 15 tackles and was unblockable all night. Very active against the run, Wagner has good speed and lateral movement abilities while bringing a good thump upon contact and plays with a high motor. Also strong in transition, he is not afraid to take on bigger blockers and plays with heavy hands upon contact with good toughness.
