Dillon Dunathan Damascus
Damascus had a rough game but Dunathan had another monster game. Dunathan was wreaking havoc in the backfield off the edge. He has great hands and moves which allows him to set the edge well and also get after the passer. On offense, he didn’t get a lot of carries but when he did he made the most of them. He is a tough power back that is tough to bring down.
Kendall Johnson Quince Orchard
Johnson was playing on the edge for Quince Orchard. He had a strong game as he set the edge well and didn’t let Damascus get outside as they wanted. He is a smart player that is able to set the edge and keep contain even while he is engaged with a blocker. Johnson has a big role for this QO defense and he will need to continue to play well.
Sekou Kamara Quince Orchard
Kamara is a do it all type of linebacker. He can play off-ball backer and he can also line up on the edge. He excels at everything on defense, he is great in his run fits as he comes downfield hard and stuffs the run. When he lines up on the edge he sets the edge well and keeps his contain. He also has the ability to drop back into coverage and make plays in the passing game as a cover guy. With his versatility expect Quince Orchard to continue to move him around to confuse the offense.
Eric Canales Blake
Canales is a big offensive lineman with college/pro size. He is big and strong. He has good hands and always gets his hands on the inside of the defender. In the run game, he does a great job of turning the defender away from the hole. If he can improve his pad level, footwork, and speed off the ball he will be known as one of the top linemen in the county.
Dre’quan Smith Blake
Smith broke a Blake record as he ran for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. Smith’s day wasn’t a fluke as he is a back that possesses great speed and vision. He is also tough to bring down as he has the ability to break tackles. Smith is a great back so don’t be surprised if he puts up more crazy numbers as the season goes on.
