What an instant classic of a game last night in Marysville. This was tightly contested all night with each team exchanging possessions multiple times. The Monarchs of Marysville came out on top in OT 21-14. Hilliard Darby #11 [player_tooltip player_id="91535" first="Blake" last="Horvath"] QB (2022) - Carried the load last night on the ground and in the air. He rushed for 2 TD’s and had 130 yards on the ground. Runs the option offense with great precision and decision making. Extremely athletic with the ball in his hands. Very twitchy in the open field with good wiggle. He is a tough tackle and has strength and power in his running ability. Also was 2-5 in the air and has a great arm with good velocity on his throws. #5 Jacob Baird WR (2022) - Caught 1 pass but blocked on the perimeter like a madman all night. He is a good route runner and athletic. He does a heck of a job blocking on the perimeter. Runs his feet, gets his hands inside, and blocks through the whistle. Impressive athlete all around Marysville #11 Brady Seger QB (2023) - Was 6-10 with 72 yards in the air. He is the commander of the offense and throws a nice tight spiral. His accuracy is on point and he is able to make many of the throws. Good athlete with twitch and wiggle in the open field. Delivers the ball with quickness and is a full field reader in a pro style offense. #22 [player_tooltip player_id="93336" first="Griffin" last="Johnson"] RB (2023) - Had 115 yards last night an 2 TD’s. One of the best RB’s in Central Ohio. Equal ability to run you over or by you based on the situation. Good burst inside the tackles and speed to hit and accelerate on the edge. Really impressive ability to block and catch out of the backfield. Will continue to lead the Monarch’s offense all season long.
