Maryland Class of 2022 Rankings Update: Stock Risers

Prep Redzone looks at the top risers in the updated Maryland Class of 2022 high school football player rankings. After some additional film study, off-season tracking, and offers, PRZ Maryland made some adjustments to the rankings. Below are some of the athletes who saw their stock go up as a prospect. No. 1 [player_tooltip player_id="90498" first="Dani" last="Dennis-Sutton"] | 6-6 | 240 | DL | McDonough Previous ranking: No. 3 Dennis-Sutton committed to Penn State on July 22. Unfortunately, Dennis-Sutton injured himself during the preseason and will miss several games. That won’t stop him from being our No. 1 player. He is a physical freak of nature. No. 6 [player_tooltip player_id="90515" first="Cameron" last="Johnson"] | 5-11 | 160 | DB | St. Frances Previous ranking: No. 12 Johnson committed to Virginia Tech on Aug. 14. No. 8 [player_tooltip player_id="90551" first="Anto" last="Saka"] | 6-4 | 215 | LB | Loyola Blakefield Previous ranking: No. 9 Saka is a Northwestern commit. No. 13 [player_tooltip player_id="90595" first="KJ" last="Winston"] | 5-11 | 180 | DB | DeMatha Previous ranking: No. 17 Winston committed to Penn State on July 31. We moved him up because his recruitment picked up over the last several months and he increased his value being recruited as an athlete. No. 13 [player_tooltip player_id="90518" first="Joshua" last="Thompson"] | 6-2 | 190 | DB | St. John’s Previous ranking: No. 25 No. 14 [player_tooltip player_id="90571" first="Jacob" last="Sacra"] | 6-5 | 300 | OL | St. Frances Previous ranking: No. 20 Sacra is an East Carolina commit. No. 15 [player_tooltip player_id="90508" first="Jayden" last="Sauray"] | 6-0 | 200 | QB | Wise Previous ranking: No. 18 No. 16 [player_tooltip player_id="90619" first="Ike" last="White"] | 6-0 | 170 | WR | St. Frances Previous ranking: No. 21 White, who is a Minnesota commit, is one of the best downfield blockers at the wide receiver position that I’ve seen in the 2022 class at his position. White has gotten stronger, faster, and is ultra-quick, coming in and out of his cuts. He’s no wear close to reaching his peak and will shine amongst a star-studded wide receiver group for St. Frances. He was open on a few passes against St. Thomas Aquinas this past weekend, but the quarterback could not get him the football. He committed to Maryland on Jul. 16. No. 39 [player_tooltip player_id="90522" first="Terron" last="Kellman"] | 5-10 | 190 | RB | St. Frances Previous ranking: No. 56 To tell you the truth, he still may be underrated on this list. A lot of it is because he shares carries with a few other St. Frances teammates.  He can beat defenders to the corner and is physical and tough enough to do damage in-between the tackles. He has one offer from Boston College, but I am sure that’ll change in the upcoming months.
