The Hawks dominated both in the air and on the ground. The Warriors fought hard, but still struggled to stop the Hawks’ speed based offense. Here are some players that stood out in the game.
Lift For Life
RB Reshad Singleton Reshad Singleton 5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH Lift For Life | 2022 MO c/o 22. Singleton was a huge problem. The Hawks’ offense used him for jet sweeps numerous times to attack the outside. Singleton is extremely elusive and he consistently moves his feet even when he’s being held down by defenders. The senior running back had several breakout runs and a touchdown.
WR Kalvin Owens c/o 22. Owens couldn’t be stopped at receiver. The senior wideout had two touchdowns. He showed his athleticism by reeling in catches and leaving his feet for them. He’s also very crisp in his route running and creates a lot of separation from defenders.
QB Charles Bass Charles Bass 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB East St. Louis | 2025 State IL c/o 25. Since senior quarterback Carlos Turner wasn’t able to play, due to injury, Bass filled in the role as the starting quarterback. He was smart with his throws, and he showed off his speed during option plays and scrambling out of pocket. The freshman quarterback held his own and led the offense, accumulating three passing touchdowns.
Jennings
ATH Hasaan Cody Hasaan Cody 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Jennings | 2022 MO c/o 22. Cody did extremely well at the quarterback position. He was an expert in maneuvering through traffic and escaping pressure. He fought hard all game, but it wasn’t enough.
RB Donta Williams c/o 23. Williams ran hard all game, gaining big yards on the ground. He’s very shifty and is fast on the outside. Williams put his team in plenty of good positions to score.
