LANDON CHAMBERS 6′ 205lbs RB
Landon Chambers is on pace to have a really big season this year racking up 216 yards to go along with 4 Touchdowns, with 3 of them coming in the first half alone! Chambers is an absolute freight train when he gets rolling! His last touchdown of the night in the 3rd quarter pretty much captured that. Throwing a defensive player off of him at the line of scrimmage to then changing direction and get the red zone score! Something I see him doing plenty of this season.
LOGAN CUNDIFF 6’1″ 190lbs QB
Cundiff really showed a lot of leadership and maturity in week 1 leading his team to an excitingly close game win over Azle high school 42-41. Especially when Cundiff ran in for the winning touchdown on the game-winning drive with only seconds to go on the clock in the red zone! Nerves don’t bother Cundiff the least bit when his team needs a touchdown in big moments. Also Scoring his first touchdown running through defenders in the red zone. I’m noticing a trend with Cundiff. The intensity and mental toughness Cundiff brings with him make for a good leader. That’s very important to his position.
DANIEL COBBS 5’11” 175lbs WR
Cobbs is a receiver with running back skills after the catch! A terror for DBs trying to tackle him, even linebackers seem to have trouble bringing him down when Cobbs catches a designed screen. After talking with his QB Logan Cundiff before the season, he said that Cobbs will be a big target for him this season and after picking up 140 all-purpose yards in week 1 I fully believe him.
LAQUON OWEN 6’5″ 325lbs LT
Owen is a strong guy in the trenches for Keller Fossil Ridge. In week 1 I counted 6 pancake blocks and watch Owen completely control his opponent lined up across from him. Really finished blocks by blocking his guy into another defender. Terrific at getting to the next level. An all-around great performance from the Left Tackle Laquon Owen.
