Huntley’s season record: 28-10 Mater Dei vs. St. John Bosco Analysis: I break down this game into deep detail here. There is so much star power in this game between the two top teams in the nation. Mater Dei quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="147708" first="Elijah" last="Brown"] shined on the big stage of last year’s game as a freshman. [player_tooltip player_id="25224" first="CJ" last="Williams"] made huge plays and the Monarch’s defense was dominant. Their front seven led by [player_tooltip player_id="25447" first="Levi" last="Sua"], [player_tooltip player_id="25234" first="David" last="Bailey"], [player_tooltip player_id="141893" first="Jacob" last="Kongaika"] and [player_tooltip player_id="142010" first="Ta’ita’i" last="Uiagalelei"] is fantastic. Bosco is outstanding as well with one of the best tackles in the nation in [player_tooltip player_id="25226" first="Earnest" last="Greene"] and matchup nightmare [player_tooltip player_id="25456" first="Matayo" last="Uiagalelei"]. Do yourself a favor and tune into Bally Sports West, sit back and enjoy this game between the best high school football America has to offer. The pick: Mater Dei https://twitter.com/tru_champions/status/1443045005254279170?s=20 Corona del Mar vs. Los Alamitos Analysis: I broke this game down in detail for the Long Beach Press Telegram this week. The score was not indicative of the game last spring. Corona del Mar had the lead at halftime before Los Alamitos exploded in the third quarter. [player_tooltip player_id="145236" first="David" last="Rasor"] is a very good quarterback for the Sea Kings and he is clicking right now with receivers Cooper Hoch and Max Lane. Los Alamitos has the Oklahoma trio of [player_tooltip player_id="25419" first="Malachi" last="Nelson"], [player_tooltip player_id="25398" first="Makai" last="Lemon"] and [player_tooltip player_id="190270" first="DeAndre" last="Moore"]. [player_tooltip player_id="25421" first="Nygel" last="Osborne"] is a big play threat always for the Griffins. Corona del Mar is very good but I don’t think they have the skill players on defense to stop the Griffins. The pick: Los Alamitos Sierra Canyon vs. Mission Viejo Analysis: I will be covering this game for the Orange County Register. Mission Viejo has played one of the most difficult schedules in the nation. They are coming off a blowout win over Leuzinger in which the defense shined. Trey Tolmaire, Daniel Dominguez and Jack Higgins were great on defense and gave the offense a lot of short fields to work with. [player_tooltip player_id="25441" first="Kadin" last="Semonza"] played well enough and [player_tooltip player_id="25408" first="Mikey" last="Matthews"] made big plays. [player_tooltip player_id="25230" first="Kamari" last="Ramsey"] of Sierra Canyon is one of the best players in the state. [player_tooltip player_id="187292" first="Jason" last="Jones"] is an elite running back for the Trailblazers and [player_tooltip player_id="142015" first="Daniel" last="Duran"] is a solid lefty quarterback. They have one common opponent in Servite in which Sierra Canyon played a little closer. The pick: Sierra Canyon Orange Lutheran vs. Servite Analysis: Both teams are undefeated and had fantastic showings in nonleague play. Orange Lutheran quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="25295" first="Logan" last="Gonzalez"] is efficient and makes the right decisions most of the time. Servite has the star power in this one. [player_tooltip player_id="25286" first="Noah" last="Fifita"] is one of the best in the state and [player_tooltip player_id="25227" first="Tetairoa" last="McMillan"] is nearly unguardable. [player_tooltip player_id="187307" first="Houston" last="Thomas"] runs the ball better than a lot of people expected as well. I think Servite is better up front with [player_tooltip player_id="141891" first="Mason" last="Graham"] and [player_tooltip player_id="145257" first="Vaka" last="Hansen"]. Orange Lutheran has speed but not enough talent to cover TMac and [player_tooltip player_id="25242" first="Keyan" last="Burnett"]. The pick: Servite https://twitter.com/prepzone/status/1441631542804029528?s=20 Palisades vs. Venice Analysis: Palisades has emerged as one of, if not the best City Section team this season. Daniel Anoh is one of the top running backs in the Section with 682 yards and 13 touchdowns. Dylan Hassid puts up big numbers at quarterback with receiver Moses Ross. Toby Hanheim and Johnny Babala lead the Palisades defense. [player_tooltip player_id="145174" first="Paul" last="Kessler"] plays quarterback for Venice and is the best player on the field. The junior quarterback has offers from Tennessee, Georgia and others. Despite being the best player on the field, Palisades is the better team. The pick: Palisades Vista Murrieta vs. Chaparral Analysis: Vista Murrieta is one of the best running offenses in Southern California and is coming off a nice win over Villa Park on the road. Gavin Galzote and [player_tooltip player_id="208989" first="Matthew" last="Caldera"] are great running backs. When the Broncos need a play in the passing game, [player_tooltip player_id="25235" first="Jack" last="Pedersen"] is there as a dominant tight end. [player_tooltip player_id="141957" first="Hunter" last="Roddy"] is a star running back for Chaparral, who is coming off a tough loss to Roosevelt of Eastvale. The two teams have a common opponent in Tesoro. Chaparral needed overtime to beat Tesoro, Vista Murrieta had a running clock in that game. The pick: Vista Murrieta Tustin vs. Pacifica Analysis: With Cypress quarterback Dylan Eldredge possibly out for the season, the Empire League is wide open. Tustin is coming off a bye after a blowout loss to Ayala. [player_tooltip player_id="187298" first="Tobey" last="Schmidt"] is a good quarterback for Tustin but was banged up against Ayala. Dominick Flores and Armon Fuller are good skill players for the Tillers and Bruce Mamea will be the best lineman on the field. [player_tooltip player_id="39430" first="Darius" last="Cowens"] is the best dual threat quarterback in Orange County. [player_tooltip player_id="147762" first="Jordan" last="Ross"] and Jeremiah Ingram are great skill players and Ed Ramos has emerged as a big play running back. Tustin may be the best team Pacifica has played so far this season. There should be a ton of points in this one. The pick: Pacifica
