1. Derrick Warren (SR-RB) – Jarrell High School (Jarrell, TX)
Stats: 227 rushing yards, 4 rushing touchdowns, 1 receiving touchdown
Warren was simply unstoppable in the game against Travis. He was both fast and slippery to tackle while adding having excellent ball carrier vision to boot. Warren was all over the field and took full advantage of excellent blocking by his team and he could just not miss a beat.
2. Derion Gullette (JR-WR) – Marlin High School (Marlin, TX)
Stats: 8 receptions, 261 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns, 1 interception
Talk about another athlete that was all over the field, Gullette could do wrong in the game against Pieper. He was excellent on both sides of the ball, adding to his insane receiving numbers with an interception. Although Marlin is as small-town as small can get, Gullette should be looked at with a big limelight after this performance.
3. Re’Shaun Sanford Re’Shaun Sanford 5'7" | 155 lbs | RB Harker Heights | 2023 State TX II (JR-RB) – Harker Heights High School (Harker Heights, TX)
Stats: 129 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns, 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown
Achieving another game ball this week, Sanford once again lit up the scoreboard both on offense and special teams. A fast and slippery back, Sanford has such a bright future that if he continues to have these kinds of performances it will be hard to continue to break it down, given so much has been said already. If college scouts are not looking at him, they should.
4. Dylan Sanchez (JR-QB) – Lampasas High School (Lampasas, TX)
Stats: 210 passing yards, 5 passing touchdowns
5. Ethan Moreno (JR-WR) – Lampasas High School (Lampasas, TX)
Stats: 5 receptions, 116 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns, 61 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown
6. Mason Shorb Mason Shorb 6'3" | 175 lbs | QB Rouse | 2023 State TX (JR-QB) – Rouse High School (Leander, TX)
Stats: 423 passing yards, 5 passing touchdowns, 2 rushing touchdowns
Another star getting another game ball this season is Shorb who pretty much outperformed himself from last week. He displayed his cannon of an arm against Anderson this past week, able to fling throws down the field, and laser the ball on short passes. Shorb is accurate and a big playmaker on the field. Not much more can be said other than he is arguably one of the best Central Texas quarterbacks currently.
7. Jalen Becerra (SR-WR) – Rouse High School (Leander, TX)
Stats: 9 receptions, 229 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns
One of the players benefiting from Shorb’s performances is Becerra, who put up insane numbers against Anderson. Becerra displayed his speed yet again, seemingly going untouched on multiple plays. More so, he showcased his excellent route-running capabilities and would take advantage of every blown coverage by Anderson.
8. Noah Long Noah Long 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Liberty Hill | 2024 State TX (SO-RB) – Liberty Hill High School (Liberty Hill, TX)
Stats: 151 rushing yards, 5 rushing touchdowns
9. Michael Davis Michael Davis 6'1" | 205 lbs | WR Denton Ryan | 2022 State TX (SO-QB) – Westwood High School (Austin, TX)
Stats: 259 passing yards, 5 passing touchdowns
Davis was uncanny in this game against Austin with the numbers alone. He was insanely accurate all game, including when he threw a 50-yard pass which put Westwood into the redzone of Austin. Davis is definitely one to keep an eye on after this performance.
10. TJ Andrews (JR-RB) – Taft High School (San Antonio, TX)
Stats: 315 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns
Reaching 300 rushing yards in a game is essentially legendary in high school football. Andrews was just a monster against a good team in Veterans Memorial. Nobody could stop him on the defense and given the numbers alone, pretty much everyone will have to keep an eye on him if they hope to have a chance to stop him. He is both fast, has great agility and is extremely tough to tackle.
