Dylan Bennett Dylan Bennett 6'1" | 225 lbs | LB Carroll | 2023 State IN – Carroll – MLB – 6’1″ 215 lbs
Bennett is the leader for Carroll and you couldn’t miss him on Friday if you tried. He was all over the place making plays and laying out hits. On one play, he read the quarterback’s eyes, waited for his opportunity, jumped the route, and returned the ball all the way for a house call. Carroll was dominant on offense and defense Friday. Bennett was the biggest reason why the defense was so successful on Friday.
Amarrion Moore – Snider – CB – 6’1″ 160 lbs
Moore was lining up all over the backend of the defense on Friday. He played safety, cornerback, and even in the slot when he needed to. His best play of the night came on a quarterback scramble where he looked downfield and tried making a cross-body throw. Moore was there for the interception and returned it back for a huge return and set up the offense for an easy score.
Markell Keal – Snider – DE – 6’3″ 225 lbs
Keal’s biggest play didn’t come how you would typically expect a DE with his size and athleticism expect. All game he was forcing interior and his pressure was the reason the QB was flushed earlier in the game where Moore got his interception. On Concordia’s last drive and final hope, Keal pretended to rush the QB, then immediately dropped back into coverage where the ball was thrown right to him. He made the interception and raced down the field before getting tackled and celebrating with his teammates.
Landon Kaschinske – Concordia – CB – 5’9″ 160 lbs
Kaschinske isn’t the most athletic player on the field, but he sure made his presence felt on Friday. On Snider’s most important drive of the day, Kaschinske was able to get his hand right on the ball and force a fumble where Concordia was able to recover. It completely stalled Snider for a bit and gave Concordia a chance to catch up some on offense.
Rashawn Boone – Northrop – CB – 6’1″ 175 lbs
Boone has decent length for a DB and is able to fly all over the field. Friday was no different and he was making solid form tackles all night. His best play was a 4th and goal where Wayne was right on the cusp of taking the lead. He reached out and was able to break up the pass that was going to be caught for the score. He did the same thing later in the game in the 4th quarter. Boone was fantastic and made Wayne look elsewhere in the passing game.
