Centerville is coming off a tough 26-24 loss to Gahanna Lincoln

With McGohan’s addition they now have their big threat through the air in addition to [player_tooltip player_id="92621" first="Christian" last="Davis"] who can hurt you on the ground. Their offensive line lead by Cincinnati commit [player_tooltip player_id="141073" first="AJ" last="Salley"].
Centerville’s [player_tooltip player_id="63075" first="Chase" last="Harrison"] and [player_tooltip player_id="92617" first="Cam" last="Smith"] have been the most potent duo in the conference this season. Harrison is leading the conference in passing yards, while Smith is leading the conference in receiving. Junior RB Emable Wakilongo had a huge week 1, but after a couple of subpar games is looking to get things going on the ground again.
Northmont at Fairmont
Northmont 2-0 is coming off a bye week due to Covid
Fairmont 3-0 is coming off a big 24-7 win over CJ
Battle of the top 2 offenses in the GWOC
Northmont is the leading offensive team in the conference. Senior running tandem of Malachi Staffney and Bryant Callahan lead the way. They have a couple of receivers who can take the top off in [player_tooltip player_id="189563" first="Javien" last="Brownlee"] and TJ Gregory. Defensively they have Payton Lupton and Collin Enochs on the DL. At linebacker they have Nigel Glover who picked up his first offer from the University of Illinois.
Fairmont will look to get Drew Baker going again. He’s averaging 180 yards a game rushing on the season. To put it in further perspective of how big Baker has been this season, Fairmont has ran 163 offensive plays this year and Drew Baker has touched the ball in 99 of those 163. He’s currently accounting for 52% of their total yards gained. Is this the week that a team can find a way to slow Baker? We will find out tonight.
Springfield at Wayne
Springfield 3-0 is coming off a big 46-6 win over Lima Senior
Wayne is coming off a tough 28-12 loss to Canton McKinley

Wayne is going to need to get their run game going and move the pocket some to help freshman QB Tyrell Lewis. Insert senior running back Jordan Ward. Ward is second in the conference in rushing with nearly 400 yards on the season. Once they get the running game going that will open things through the air for guys like Bryan Kinley, Ray Greene, and RJ Mukes.
[player_tooltip player_id="34392" first="Te’Sean" last="Smoot"] had a big game 1 vs Ignatius but had week 2 off and 6-16 for 74 yards against Lima Senior. Smoot is a big game player so I’m looking to see if he rebounds. Weapons abound for the Wildcats offense. This week I look for coach Maurice Douglas to try and get the Wildcats air attack rolling.
The trench war between Wayne OL with it’s 3 D1 prospects against the Springfield DL spearheaded by [player_tooltip player_id="123251" first="Tywan" last="January"] and [player_tooltip player_id="34433" first="Jokell" last="Brown"], will go a long way to determining who wins this game.
