Week 5 in Central Ohio cemented some players on the radar in Central Ohio. Below you will read about two players in the class of 2024 who are making their mark on this season in addition to some 2022’s cementing their status as great players worth watching.
Upper Arlington
Sam Cannon, WR 5’8 155 (2022) - Sam like the rest of the offense saw limited action on Friday due to their overwhelming performance. The senior caught 4 passes and had 2 TD’s in their win over Central Crossing. One of the better athletes in big school ball in Central Ohio. He is a quick and athletic and makes the tough catches. Keep an eye on him the rest of the way.

Gahanna Lincoln
Diore Hubbard, RB 5’10 168 (2024) - Diore is only a Sophomore and hasn’t really even been able to update his highlights on HUDL yet, but is someone to keep an eye on all year long. Against one of the hottest teams in Central Ohio, Hilliard Darby, he had 12 carries for 96 yards. Even more impressive was his ability to come up with great runs with the game on the line. He is really quick in between the tackles and bursts well to the second level. Has open field twitch and makes tacklers miss. Diore is a rising superstar in the class of 2024.

Big Walnut
Nate Severs, RB 5’10 205 (2024) - Nate is a beast of a Sophomore in the 2024 class. He is the main reason why Big Walnut is 5-0 and just beat one of the contenders in the state in Westerville South. He rushed for 297 yards on 33 carries with an astonishing 4 TD’s. He looks like a college freshman running back as a sophomore. He is fast in the hole with great burst in the gaps. Pulls away from defenders and is a threat every time he runs the ball. He is really good out of the backfield in the pass game. Current and future star here in Ohio.

Westerville North
[player_tooltip player_id="117448" first="Chris" last="Campbell"], RB 5’7 150 (2022) - Chris is easily one of the best backs in Central Ohio. Played the first half and couple of possessions in the second on Sunday and had a great day. Rushed for 173 on 13 carries and a TD on Friday night. He is really athletic and makes people miss in the open field. Runs behind his pads and can run defenders over. Very impressive RB with great skills which will translate to the next level.
