However, once they did they were playing equally with C.E Kings. C.E Kings won with a score of 35-27. C.E Kings had various standout players I would like to discuss.
#23 D’koreion Hammond RB, SB 6’0 Sr
C.E Kings offensive strength stood out the most. They had a strong run game with two great running backs. The first one I’ll be talking about is D’koreion Hammond. When D’koreion ran the ball he consistently averaged a lot of yards and always managed to get a 1st down. D’koreion was a strong, fast, and persistent running back Strake’s defensive didn’t have a good way of handling him. D’koreion rushed in for two touchdowns. D’koreion has college offers to ETBU and University of Saint Mary,
#10 Jerrell Wimbley RB, SS 5’11 Sr 185 lbs
The other standout running back was Jerrell Wimbley. D’koreion was the running back made for quick burst and power play, but Jerrell was purely speed and technique. Once Jerrell had space and a clear route he was sure to take full advantage of it. Jerrell ran for a 70-yard touchdown and for another 21 Yard touchdown getting two touchdowns in all. If I were to declare an MVP for this game I would definitely say it was Jerrell. Jerrell has a lot of college offers from Howard Payne University, Lamar University, Columbia University, Dartmouth University, and University of Nevada.
#55 Van Wells C 6’2 Sr 290 lbs
C.E Kings focused mainly on its run and the most key proponent in that are offensive linemen. The offensive line is supposed to clear a path for the running back to run through. Without the support of the offensive line D’koreion or Jerrell wouldn’t be able to get as far as they did. The offensive lineman that stood out the most was Van Wells the center. Van Wells has quick reflexes, great footwork and is very agile for his weight and size. Van didn’t let any of Strake’s defensive line get passed him he kept blocking until the whistle was blown. Van was also a great leader to his other offensive linemen and other teammates. I heard a lot about Van before I came to the game he’s already a huge college prospect. Van has offers to the University of Louisiana, University of Louisiana-Lafayette, Texas State University, Tulane University, and many others.
#0 Jakobe Crawford SS, CB 5’10 Sr 165 lbs
Jakobe Crawford is definitely a standout player on defense. Jakobe is a safety and cornerback his prime position was usually cornerback. Jakobe was very quick and always covering his man. Jakobe was never afraid to get physical and get in the wide receiver’s face. The most impressive detail about Jakobe wasn’t just his physical prowess or speed, but it was that he didn’t have a right hand. Jakobe not having a right hand didn’t affect his play at all and I barely even noticed. Jakobe is expected to have a great last senior year of football and has a college offer to East Texas Baptist University.
#12 Dylan Spencer Dylan Spencer 6'5" | 245 lbs | DL C.E. King | 2023 State TX DE, MLB Jr 6’5
Dylan Spencer Dylan Spencer 6'5" | 245 lbs | DL C.E. King | 2023 State TX was tall and slender very appropriate built for a defensive end. Dylan was fast and always made his way into the backfield. Dylan was able to sack the quarterback a couple of times and made a lot of tackles. Dylan is only a Junior and already a college prospect. He has college offers to UT Austin, University Southern California, Texas A&M, University of Houston, and many others. Dylan still has a lot of room and potential to develop into an unstoppable defensive end.
