James Tivao James Tivao 6'0" | 215 lbs | LB Madison | 2024 State CA – LB, Madison
Tivao shows great athleticism and physicality as a two-way player at his RB/LB spots. He moves well as an inside backer showing good lateral speed on outside runs and likes to fill gaps aggressively between the tackles. He flashes strong coverage instincts playing well with his eyes in zone and shows quick reactions to the ball. Tivao could be one of the most underrated tacklers and overall defenders in San Diego’s 2024 class.

Anthony McMilllian- LB, Mater Dei Catholic
McMillian and fellow 2024 standout Tre Edwards Tre Edwards 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Mater Dei Catholic | 2023 State CA form a scary LB tandem for Mater Dei Catholic’s front seven. McMillian is a powerful downhill defender who shows physicality making plays in the backfield and athleticism in zone coverage. He’s a relentless tackler playing with a high motor and tracks ball-carriers extremely well. McMillian’s size and athleticism should attract D-1 interest moving forward.
Griffin Ramos- DB, Mt. Carmel
Ramos has been a breakout CB for Mt. Carmel’s defense this season. He’s shown the ability to cover effectively in man or zone making plays on the ball in press coverage and in his deep third zone. He utilizes his length effectively disrupting routes off the LOS and shows range/timing breaking up passes. He has plus instincts and ball skills in coverage. Ramos is one of the top sophomore DBs to keep an eye on in San Diego.
Axel Enriquez- SS, Mt. Carmel
Enriquez is a rangy defender from his SS spot. He shows great lateral speed tackling sideline-to-sideline and plus reactions to the ball in shallow coverage. He’s an instinctive player who racked up playing time as a freshman last season and impressed in his opportunities. Enriquez is certainly a player to watch grow and develop alongside fellow 2024 standout Griffin Ramos in the Mt. Carmel secondary.
Jack Stahl- LB, University City
Stahl is a leading tackler along the University City front seven. He thrives playing close to the LOS and has a nose for the ball quickly diagnosing run plays and fighting off blocks to make tackles. He’s effective as a pass-rusher utilizing his 6’4 215 lb. frame to overpower OL and shows instincts tipping passes at the LOS. Stahl is a player who’s size and defensive instincts should warrant interest from colleges over the coming seasons.
