Football season is now in full-spring at all levels. We decided to hold a "re-draft" of the 2021 NFL draft with the start of the NFL season. I used the same draft order and draft needs that were accurate for the team at the moment of the draft. There are tons of players to choose from, so we used only "draft eligible" players for this article, meaning the junior and senior classes. To clarify some any other questions:

The only difference on the teams are the rookie class.

Free agency and trades are still the same (ex: Julio to Tennesse)

Cuts and releases are also the same (ex: Cam Newton still cut from NE)

With that being said, the Jacksonville Jaguars are now on the clock:
Pick 1: Jacksonville Jaguars - [player_tooltip player_id="217055" first="Zane" last="Flores"], QB - Gretna 6’3" 190 lbs | Hudl The Jags are a team with many holes to try and fill, but none other than at the QB position. In this draft, their QB of the future is [player_tooltip player_id="217055" first="Zane" last="Flores"] out of Gretna. He is the top pure passer in the state and would be a good fit in the Jacksonville offense. His throwing motion and footwork are very polished for a junior prospect and should provide a stable pocket presence. Flores can deliver the ball accurately and with tons of zip on it. His mobility is also very underrated, although he isn’t asked to run very much. He can make all the throws on the field and sees his progressions through—a brilliant player with a high-floor and astronomical ceiling. https://twitter.com/Boosters_Dragon/status/1436516899739869188?s=20 Pick 2: New York Jets - [player_tooltip player_id="147507" first="Caden" last="Becker"], QB - Omaha Skutt Catholic 6’4" 220 lbs | Hudl The Jets needed their QB1, and they grabbed him with the second pick in [player_tooltip player_id="147507" first="Caden" last="Becker"] from Omaha Skutt. He possesses a unique skill set due to his dual-threat ability and his skill progression throughout his prep career. Three games into his senior year, he looks more confident and mechanically sound than in previous years, and it still looks like he’s just scratching the surface. His strong arm and ability to push the ball downfield with accuracy (Look at 1:18 in the clip below) will imitate AFC east rival QB Josh Allen. His running ability will help make up for deficiencies in other areas of the roster. https://twitter.com/SkuttFB/status/1431428623748186113?s=20 Pick 3: San Francisco 49ers - [player_tooltip player_id="148260" first="Gage" last="Stenger"], QB - Millard South 6’2" 190 lbs | Hudl The first real shocker of the draft comes from San Francisco and their decision to take [player_tooltip player_id="148260" first="Gage" last="Stenger"] from Millard South. It’s not so much a shocker that he gets taken this high, as much as he got taken at QB. Stenger is committed as a defensive player to Kansas State, but the 49ers couldn’t pass up on his potential as a quarterback. He can deliver the ball on target and extend plays outside of the pocket. Stenger is lightning quick on his feet and is willing to lower the shoulder to run defenders over. Add him to an offense featuring shifty, versatile receivers like Aiyuk, Samuel, Mostert, and their star tight end Kittle, and this Stenger-led offense could be dangerous. Pick 4: Atlanta Falcons - [player_tooltip player_id="147503" first="Devon" last="Jackson"], OLB/S - Omaha Burke 6’2" 200 lbs | Hudl Despite knowing about the potential Julio Jones departure and no longer having Pitts, I believe the Falcons should look at bolstering their defense with this pick, especially with their two top safeties fleeing in free agency. With [player_tooltip player_id="147503" first="Devon" last="Jackson"] still on the board at number 4, this is great value for his talent, he provides an excellent versatile defender for the porous Falcons defense. With someone as fast and physical as Jackson, you could even plug him into a Tyrann Mathieu-type role where he can fly around the defense. Jackson has proven to be very effective in pass coverage, create turnovers, and wreak havoc in the backfield and will be a much-needed playmaker in this defense. https://twitter.com/DevontheJet402/status/1436163950811525120?s=20 Pick 5: Cincinnati Bengals - [player_tooltip player_id="147502" first="Deshawn" last="Woods"], OT - Omaha Central 6’5" 290 lbs | Hudl This go-around, the Bengals decide to protect Joe Burrow instead of providing him some weapons. Woods would shore up a beaten-up Cincinnati OL and provide a bookend tackle opposite of LT Jonah Williams. Deshawn is physical at the point of attack and plays until the whistle. He has big strong hands and long arms and can move people at will. In one of my favorite plays from the clip below (at 42 seconds), you can see the tackle run 30 yards downfield trying to get hands on somebody to lead block, the back got tackled, but the effort and hustle aren’t unnoticed. Pick 6: Miami Dolphins - [player_tooltip player_id="147505" first="Kaden" last="Helms"], WR/TE - Bellevue West 6’6" 220 lbs | Hudl The Dolphins really struggled to move the ball consistently last year. They decided to address it by providing franchise QB Tua Tagovailoa with the talented pass catcher [player_tooltip player_id="147505" first="Kaden" last="Helms"]. Helms has a multi-faceted game in the sense that he can stretch the field vertically or provide a security blanket in the middle of the field, and he can create separation using his elite route-running and footwork. Helms has the speed and long, rangy frame to me mismatch against most players. The Dolphins also get an excellent blocker to help make us for any deficiencies in the offensive line. https://twitter.com/KadenJHelms/status/1424005964009725957?s=20 Pick 7: Detriot Lions - [player_tooltip player_id="161740" first="Jake" last="Appleget"], LB/EDGE - Lincoln Southeast 6’4" 205 lbs | Hudl Appleget is a huge steal here at #7 for the Lions and at a premium position. Detroit really needs help in two areas; their defense and their pass-catchers. Appleget can do both exceptionally well, but here he gets the pick for his defensive capabilities. He is brilliant and instinctive on the field and can diagnose a play in a snap. Appleget will definitely snag any ill-advised throws his way and has the athleticism to gain a huge return. He will also be a heavy contributor to Detroit’s pass rush as he is incredibly quick with his first step and has the agility to bypass linemen and be destructive in the backfield. https://twitter.com/kevinsjuts/status/1434136113174691842?s=20 Pick 8: Carolina Panthers - [player_tooltip player_id="226945" first="Gunnar" last="Gottula"], OT - Lincoln Southeast 6’6" 270 lbs | Hudl With Sam Darnold on the roster, QB is no longer the most pressing need; however, getting someone to protect him is a huge problem. That’s where Gunnar comes in to provide a dominant tackle presence and open up running lanes for dynamic back Christian McCaffrey. Gottula, committed to Nebraska, is already showing flashes of being a cornerstone tackle as a junior. At 6’6", he is a big guy that packs a ton of strength and mobility to move up into the second level. He is very athletic for his position and provides peace of mind that the blindside is holding up. Gottula is a mean dude who looooves his pancakes and delivering bruising blocks (go to 25 seconds below) and will make any o-line coach a happy man. Great pick here for Carolina! Pick 9: Denver Broncos - [player_tooltip player_id="217060" first="Maverick" last="Noonan"], DL/EDGE - Elkhorn South 6’4" 230 lbs | Hudl The Broncos pass rush just got SCARIER! Having Von Miller and Bradley Chubb is already a nightmare to plan for, but you add the edge demon [player_tooltip player_id="217060" first="Maverick" last="Noonan"] to the mix, and it is a downright daunting task. His bend around the edge and get off on the snap is eye-popping. He can get so low to the ground that he doesn’t give linemen much of a chance to get a hand on him. When in the backfield, he is vicious in pursuing the ball-carrier and will track him down several yards downfield. He has great knowledge of the game and maintaining leverage and is still so raw when it comes to the game. I believe he is just starting to scratch the surface of what he can do as a pass rusher. https://twitter.com/DannyNi95851759/status/1435010775232434176?s=20 Pick 10: Philadelphia Eagles - [player_tooltip player_id="147504" first="Micah" last="Riley-Ducker"], TE - Bellevue West 6’6" 240 lbs | Hudl I think this would be an awesome pick for the Eagles as they get a hardworking, gritty player to match the city of Philadelphia’s toughness. With trade rumors/ injuries surrounding TE Zach Ertz, it might be smart to go for Riley-Ducker, who is not just a TE but an overall asset to any offense. For one, Micah’s blocking ability and tenacity in that aspect make him almost like a 6th lineman, which is beneficial for an aging OL. He’s mean when it comes to blocking and loves to serve up some pancakes. Most importantly, he provides Jalen Hurts with a big, physical target with deceptive speed and the versatility to line up at receiver as well. Micah’s size makes him a mismatch against defensive backs and he is faster than most linebackers. The Hurts to Riley-Ducker connection would be tough! https://twitter.com/MattFosterTV/status/1436542164905963520?s=20 https://twitter.com/FauxDeaux/status/1433954481985757191?s=20 Pick 11: Chicago Bears - [player_tooltip player_id="147508" first="Noah" last="Walters"], QB - Lincoln East 6’0" 195 lbs | Hudl Walters draws some similarities to Bear’s actual pick in the sense that they are both hardworking, productive, and efficient - yet severely underrated and disrespected throughout the ’draft’ (recruitment) process. Noah can flat-out throw the rock and can lead a successful high-flying offense. When you watch his film, it is evident that his arm talent is there, and he can make any throw on the field. In the first play (clip below), you can see the beautiful deep ball to his receiver in stride. His throwing motion is so smooth with a quick release and zip on the ball. In person you can see his leadership skills through his poise and command of the offense. Chi-Town you got your QB! https://twitter.com/ChiColeman23/status/1436703492534636547?s=20 Pick 12: Dallas Cowboys - [player_tooltip player_id="147506" first="Ernest" last="Hausmann"], LB - Columbus 6’3" 210 lbs | Hudl The Cowboys’ defense needs a lot of work if they want to keep up with the high-flying offenses in the NFC. That’s why they grabbed the stud, LB [player_tooltip player_id="147506" first="Ernest" last="Hausmann"], to beef up their LB core. He is a heat-seeking missile as a ’backer and is incredible at tracking down the ball-carrier and bringing him down. His tackling mechanic is sound, and he’s looking even more dangerous as an edge presence with the more snaps he gets. This is needed in Dallas, and Hausmann can definitely provide a menacing defender along the edge. Pick 13: Los Angeles Chargers - [player_tooltip player_id="151111" first="Gage" last="Griffith"], OT - Aurora 6’3" 285 lbs | Hudl Protecting franchise QB Justin Herbert was at the top of the list of needs, especially at the tackle position. They hugely addressed this need by snagging [player_tooltip player_id="151111" first="Gage" last="Griffith"] from Aurora. He is a major key to the running game in the Aurora offense behind his high-motor that keeps driving until the end of the play. Griffith packs a mean punch and is a scary sight when he has a full head of steam behind him. Count in his experience and high football IQ, and you have a great bookend tackle for the foreseeable future. Pick 14: New York Jets - [player_tooltip player_id="147818" first="LJ" last="Richardson"], RB - Bellevue West 6’2" 208 lbs | Hudl The Jets moved up to grab a guard in the original draft, but I believe they will move up to snag beast RB [player_tooltip player_id="147818" first="LJ" last="Richardson"] in this redraft. The talent and potential is too much to pass up here. Richardson has been on a tear the first three weeks of his senior campaign. His mix of size, speed, and shiftiness is incredible to watch. He packs a mean stiff arm and can cut on a dime and change direction without compromising his speed. His ability to see the whole field and adjust accordingly is amazing to watch. With dual-threat QB [player_tooltip player_id="147507" first="Caden" last="Becker"] in the backfield as well, preparing for this rushing duo would cause some headaches. https://twitter.com/MattFosterTV/status/1436543997464436738?s=20 https://twitter.com/overtime/status/1434252712883916803?s=20 Pick 15: New England Patriots - [player_tooltip player_id="147833" first="Luke" last="Johannsen"], QB - Bellevue West 6’2" 200 lbs | Hudl In this year’s draft, Coach Bellicheck drafted a quarterback (Mac Jones) from a proven program (Alabama) and a proven coach (Nick Saban). In our draft version, the coach picks his QB [player_tooltip player_id="147833" first="Luke" last="Johannsen"] from a proven program (Bellevue West) and under a proven winning coach (Coach Huffman). Luke does an excellent job taking control of the Bell West offense and managing all the weapons around him. He has an calm pocket presence and has a very underrated arm that can throw thedeep. Bellicheck will certainly take a well-coached, hardworking quarterback that fits his scheme and throws an accurate football without committing turnovers. Also, just like Johannsen’s current offense, the Patriots have two very good TEs (Jonnu & Hunter Henry) to give him open looks over the middle. https://twitter.com/FauxDeaux/status/1436481276379336722?s=20 Pick 16: Arizona Cardinals - [player_tooltip player_id="147534" first="Will" last="Hubert"], DL/EDGE - Papillion - La Vista 6’4" 240 lbs | Hudl In a division full of high-flying offenses, the Cardinals need to apply as much pressure as possible. Who other to do so than 2020 NE state sack leader and LB/DE hybrid [player_tooltip player_id="147534" first="Will" last="Hubert"]. His ability to play as a stand-up LB or with his hand in the dirt opens up the defense to new wrinkles and schemes. He is relentles when pursuing the ball-carrier and is a sure tackler when he has them in his sights. He also does a superb job shedding his blocks either as a speed or power rusher. Learning from two of this generation’s greatest sack artists (JJ Watt & Chandler Jones) will only add more weapons to Hubert’s defensive arsenal. https://twitter.com/CALfornia_Love/status/1436459903397371925?s=20 Pick 17: Las Vegas Raiders - [player_tooltip player_id="227028" first="Sam" last="Sledge"], OT - Creighton Prep 6’5" 260 lbs | Hudl If you asked draft pundits about the Raider’s selection in this year’s draft, you might hear them say they reached. In our version of the draft, they swiped an absolute steal in Creighton Prep’s [player_tooltip player_id="227028" first="Sam" last="Sledge"]. The junior tackle would fit in nicely on either side of the line for the Raiders. He is a mauler in run protection, booting people off the field and creating huge running lanes for his backs. He maintains excellent pad level, making sure he has the lower center of gravity and finishing with a crushing jab. Sledge does an excellent job setting an anchor and holding down the blind spot and should be a stalwart on the line. Pick 18: Miami Dolphins - [player_tooltip player_id="156071" first="Jake" last="Gassaway"], OLB - Millard South 6’2" 195 lbs | Hudl The Dolphins can go many ways with this pick, but I think defensive-minded Brian Flores decided to get himself a new weapon. The many different ways Gassaway could be used in a Flores defense is mesmerizing. He can provide blanket coverage on backs, TEs, and slot receivers and possesses excellent tackling technique. Gassaway can also bring pressure in the backfield; he blasts through his gap and plays with maximum effort on every play. Stepping into a Kyle Van Noy role, he would absolutely ball out in this defense. https://twitter.com/MikeSautter_/status/1433580806270857220?s=20 Pick 19: Washington Football Team - [player_tooltip player_id="163780" first="Brodey" last="Johnson"], QB - North Bend Central 6’2" 195 lbs | Hudl WFT was a team that I was expecting to make a move for a QB in the draft. In the end, I think the difference between QB5 and QB6 was too wide for them choose one at #19, but not so much the case in this draft. Brody Johnson is an exceptional QB option for the Football Team, which has a fairly good roster in place. His accuracy is what I really like about his game, he can throw the ball on a rope and push it downfield. Johnson will have enough weapons to put up points on the board with budding stars in the receiving core (Terry McLaurin & Curtis Samuel) and Logan Thomas as a reliable target over the middle, while their devastating defense holds down opposing offenses. Coach Rivera pulls the trigger on their franchise QB and hope to scoop a LB in the second round. https://twitter.com/Brodey_Johnson_/status/1437241681854832643?s=20 Pick 20: New York Giants - [player_tooltip player_id="147988" first="Tyson" last="Money"], WR - Papillion - La Vista 5’11" 195 lbs | Hudl The Giants WR core was missing weapons for their developing quarterback and went and got Kadarius Toney; in this draft, they got a player with a similar skillset and close enough size (Toney 6’0" 193 - Money 5’11" 195 lbs). He is a player that coaches will want to get the ball in his hands and let him produce, very twitchy and explosive. He can bring the ball out on a sweep, line up in the slot, or outside- it doesn’t matter, he can go out and ball. Money is a terror in the open field and can snatch your ankles. He has top-flight speed and can take a ball to the house if he can turn the corner on you. With Money, Barkley, Golladay, and Engram, Daniel Jones will have tons of weapons to elevate the Giants offense. https://twitter.com/TysonMoney3/status/1436542155707793410?s=20 Pick 21: Indianapolis Colts - [player_tooltip player_id="151115" first="Nate" last="Raymond"], LT - Bellevue West 6’5" 305 lbs | Hudl The Colts traded for their franchise QB; however, there is still a huge hole in the position that keeps him upright. With the retirement of Anthony Castonzo, Raymond will have the opportunity to step in and protect Wentz’s blindside. I was watching Raymond’s tape below, and he tosses people, don’t know how else to put it, he just manhandles people. He can drop into his pass sets and wait to punch someone, or he will bring the fight to you in run plays and attempt to take your head off. This is already a good line, but this will be an elite unit with Raymond anchoring the blindside. Pick 22: Tennessee Titans - Teitum Tuioti, DL/EDGE - Lincoln Southeast 6’3" 220 lbs | Hudl How Tuioti fell to the Titans at 22 is surprising, but the Titans will take it! They claim one of the worst pass-rush defenses in the league, and with athletic QBs Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson, they need to provide a consistent pass rush to break through for Super Bowl contention. Tuioti is a technician for beating tackles and shedding blocks and can do it standing up or with a hand in the dirt. He has impeccable hand placement and elusiveness as a pass rusher. His lightning-quick first step gives him an advantage before the tackle can drop into their pass sets. Watching his tape, just in the first play, you can see his brilliance when it comes to getting into the backfield. Pick 23: Minnesota Vikings - [player_tooltip player_id="157632" first="Shan" last="Acharya"], OT - Elkhorn North 6’5" 280 lbs | Hudl The Vikings’ o-line needs help in several areas, so for this pick, they decide to go with [player_tooltip player_id="157632" first="Shan" last="Acharya"], the towering tackle prospect from Elkhorn North. He is a big, tall, and strong tackle with a good base and a mean streak. Acharya can eliminate defenders out of the play and makes sure to finish his block every time. He doesn’t give up much ground and has quick feet to keep up with edge defenders. He should serve up tons of pancakes while opening huge lanes for star back Dalvin Cook. Pick 24: Pittsburgh Steelers - [player_tooltip player_id="147784" first="Christian" last="Meneses"], RB Plattsmouth 5’11" 185 lbs | Hudl The Pittsburgh run game needs a revival in a HUGE way, so they addressed it by picking up prolific Plattsmouth back [player_tooltip player_id="147784" first="Christian" last="Meneses"]. He is an aggressive runner that keeps his legs moving and makes you earn any tackle you get on him. He rushed for over 1,700 yards as a junior, and so far through 3 games, he looks like he could match that total. Meneses is more than willing to take on some contact and dish some out as well, or he can cut and outrace you to the endzone. He will fit in with the Pittsburgh locker room culture with tons of grit and a hard working mentality. Pick 25: Jacksonville Jaguars - [player_tooltip player_id="147831" first="Koa" last="McIntyre"], S - Archbishop Bergan 6’1" 205 lbs | Hudl The Jags nabbed their QB of the future with the 1st overall pick, with the 25th pick, they pick up another quarterback, but for his talent at the safety position. The "quarterback of the defense," McIntyre, sees the field very well, does a great job reacting to the play. He is a secure tackler that will come up in run support help shut down the run game. Koa has excellent closing speed, takes great pursuit angles, and can fly around in pass coverage, making him a dangerous weapon in the secondary. McIntyre has the athletcism to make plays on the ball and return them to the house (see pick-6 below). https://twitter.com/kevinsjuts/status/1436155422390595586?s=20 Pick 26: Cleveland Browns - [player_tooltip player_id="163118" first="Vince" last="Genatone"], LB - North Platte 6’1" 200 lbs | Hudl The Browns did a good job addressing their needs in the secondary through free agency, but they still need a thumper in their linebacker room. [player_tooltip player_id="163118" first="Vince" last="Genatone"] is a bruising linebacker that loves to beat people up and is a good enforcer in the middle of the defense. Genatone is a sure tackle every time he’s near the ball-carrier, using excellent technique and strength. He can burst through gaps and blow up run plays, and he’s way too quick for linemen to get their hands on him—a perfect fit in physical and athletic Cleveland defense. https://twitter.com/DreilingerJake/status/1431436035377045507?s=20 Pick 27: Baltimore Ravens - [player_tooltip player_id="180278" first="Beni" last="Ngoyi"], WR - Lincoln 6’4" 180 lbs | Hudl The goal of the offseason was to get Lamar Jackson some weapons, and they delivered big time with Ngoyi, a dynamic pass-catcher with tons of potential. Beni’s athleticism is extraordinary, and he can outduel anyone on contested catches. He’s an excellent two-way player, but his catching skills and Baltimore’s need for a WR get him drafted as such. Ngoyi is very fluid in his movement and runs smooth routes and can line up in several places. His versatility on offense and avility to take any catch to the house will create several wrinkles in this offense. https://twitter.com/DanCorey_/status/1431467455696736260?s=20 Pick 28: New Orleans Saints - Garett Oakley, WR/TE - Columbus Scotus 6’4" 205 lbs | Hudl The New Orleans pass-catchers are looking pretty bare with the injury to WR Michael Thomas and the departure of Cook and Sanders. Oakley would be an excellent option for the offense and would be a fine complementary piece to Thomas in the passing game. The 6’4" target is long, rangy, and can line up anywhere on the field and create a mismatch; he has deceptive speed and can take the top off a defense. Oakley is also a strong blocker and could be very helpful in the run game. If you need any more convincing just look at the play starting at :25 in the first clip below... yea enough said. Pick 29: Green Bay Packers [player_tooltip player_id="157566" first="Grant" last="Guyett"], WR - Omaha Westside 6’0" 189 lbs | Hudl An offensive lineman made sense too, but we decided to keep MVP Aaron Rodgers happy and prepare for a possible Davante Adams free agency departure. [player_tooltip player_id="157566" first="Grant" last="Guyett"] would be a perfect addition to the Packers’ offense, as he can line up in many different ways and has as sure hands as there are in this draft. Guyett will go and battle for any contested catches and is an excellent hands receiver. He could play a Jordy Nelson-type role and produce see high-volume targets. He’s just an all-around athlete that can make defense pay if they slip even a little. https://twitter.com/NELITE7v7_/status/1410423001313648642?s=20 Pick 30: Buffalo Bills - [player_tooltip player_id="147817" first="Dominic" last="Rezac"], RB - Omaha Westside 6’1 175 lbs | Hudl Adding a gasher at running back would make the Bills offense absolutely lethal. Dominic would give the Bills a viable rushing threat in the backfield and alleviate some of the pressure off of Josh Allen. Pass rusher or TE were other options, but Rezac’s potential as every-down back is too much to pass up. Rezac is a super athlete that can break a game open with a long run. With 1,300 rushing yards and 19 TDs as a junior and a very strong start to his senior campaign, his production is proven. He can be both a finesse runner with great cuts and jukes or he can play the ground and pound game and run it down a defense’s throat. He’d be a menace as a weapon in Allen’s arsenal. https://twitter.com/Sean_Callahan/status/1404188559511273478?s=20 Pick 31: Baltimore Ravens - [player_tooltip player_id="147852" first="Chance" last="Symons"], DE/EDGE - Scottsbluff 6’3" 240 lbs | Hudl Baltimore gets a STEAL at #31 overall with [player_tooltip player_id="147852" first="Chance" last="Symons"] from Scottsbluff. Knowing they would lose 3 RBs to a season-long injury made me consider a running back, but you have to get to the quarterback in today’s league. Symons knows exactly how to get into the backfield with his electric first step and block shedding ability. With Baltimore’s two top pass rushers leaving in free agency, Symons would provide a young, hungry player to win his individual matchups and make plays. https://twitter.com/chancesymons56/status/1416624554739388422?s=20 Pick 32: Tampa Bay Buccaneers - [player_tooltip player_id="147851" first="Trevor" last="Brown"], DL - Waverly 6’2 270 lbs | Hudl The Bucs resigned all 22 of their starters and have tons of depth at many positions, and it was tempting not taking [player_tooltip player_id="217056" first="Abram" last="Scholting"] as an heir behind Tom Brady. However, [player_tooltip player_id="147851" first="Trevor" last="Brown"] is the pick, and he is a monster in the trenches for the Waverly Vikings and would give the Bucs some youth on the DL. Brown is a relentless power rusher that can bully his way into the backfield. His junior year clip shows how dominant he is, using great leverage and hand placement to stand linemen straight up. Get him in a pass rush rotation with Shaq Barrett, JPP, Suh, Vea, and its lights out!
